The recent $23 M beach/sand replenishment program has restored the beaches to perfection. I've come to Galveston for decades but have never seen them so pristine. Good work Galveston!

We stayed in the middle of May before the summer crowds. The seawall is literally a 17 ft wall built to help protect the structures across the street, The street is seawall blvd. and I guess the walking area above the wall is also called seawall. Anyway it is very nice to be right on the beach and ocean and... More

The seawall is nice to walk your dog or any other activity. Several miles of straight beach. Can either walk along the wall or the beach. Parking is available all along the wall.

The sea wall is just a concrete wall to protect the inland from erosion. The beach was ok, a little bit of trash. But seamed to be a popular attraction for families.

If you have any plans ever to visit Galveston, or anywhere near it, make Seawall your point of emphasis. Every eatery, shop, whatever you can think of is here. Add in Pleasure Pier, and the beach front, and you will be in for a fun day. Be wary of holiday trips, if you want to stay on Seawall Drive anywhere... More

I love to walk the Seawall it so beautiful , there a lot of walkers, runners, etc. I like to watch people swimming and having fun on the beach. Most of the time is a lot of breeze from the ocean so don't feel that hot.
