The Seawall has much improved over the years. The beaches are much cleaner than they used to be back in the day. Paid parking is easy to use. Beach chair rentals are available down most of the Seawall. The restaurants are top notch. I was very pleased with my recent visit during the week with much smaller crowds. I plan on doing it again 😊

Activate all your senses while strolling along the Galveston seawall. Sunshine brings warmth as you become memorized by small ocean waves. Listen & watch seagulls gliding above. Breathe in fresh clean air. And smile while people watching- realizing others also partake in a few moments of relaxation in our busy schedules. Many dining opportunities line the boulevard. True- one needs to pay to park along the seawall, but these funds help keep Galveston's shoreline a destination worth visiting!

We like to drive by the seawall all the time, from on side to the other. We love stopping at Ritas Ice and the Walmart. OH and Pleasure Pier.
The only bad thing is when they added the parking signs and you have to go through this whole rigamarow to pay for parking.
We havent been able to park since.
So we just enjoy driving the seawall and enjoy watching the waves.

The seawall is a romantic place for an evening stroll and if you are an early riser a spectacular sunrise. We walked miles enjoying the cooling sea breeze getting a break from the Texas heat. There are many places to sit. One evening we had a takeout picnic. There are many restaurants along the strip. If you park along the strip be sure to pay the parking fee.

A walk on the Seawall is a great way to exercise and view the beach and Gulf of Mexico. We visited in January so swimming wasn't an option. Walks on the beach and on the jetties are possible, too. The painted benches along the way give a glimpse into the history and sea life that surrounds Galveston.

Lots of things to do even with the covid 19 going on. Beaches were cleaner than I remember in Florida and people legitimately practiced safe social distancing. I witnessed many of locals picking up litter which showed that they care. I also did my part as a tourist and picked up a cup (which I thought was trash) and scored a bunch of shells! Don't worry it was morning so no i didn't rob any little kid LOL!

Everytime I came to Galveston the seawall keeps getting better. When did they add the painted benches? These are definitely a nice touch and make the whole area really pretty. The seawall is perfect for a nice walk along the water with beautiful views. There is also an amusement park with restaurants and a gift shop right on the seawall. We did an early afternoon walk then again at sunset and enjoyed both times. Parking is NOT free along the seawall but the prices are reasonable. I paid $4 for 2 hours. Just remember to pay before leaving your car there. You don't want a ticket or to be towed. We had such a great time and we will be back!

We drove to the west one day, and the drove to the east another day. It was a fun and easy drive. Beautiful beaches. For the first day, we were able to watch the sunset on the beach, and watch the sunrise the next morning. Unfortunately, the sea fog came in the next few days. But it was a delightful visit.

We decided to take a stroll on the beach and discovered that it was very popular attraction. Street parking was plentiful but they assumed that everyone had a smartphone which could be used to pay for parking. Shells on the beach looked like they were bleached and were devoid of any color. We’re used to seeing more marine life than just sea gulls or sand pipers. The day we visited was very windy and the waves were pretty rough. We didn’t stay long.

Must visit when in Galveston, so happy I got recommended here. A great mix of shops, restaurants, amusement and the gulf. Water isn’t the best for swimming but makes some picturesque photos. We loved Murdoch beach house close by which had reasonably priced drinks and souvenirs and some great views of the Gulf of Mexico
