Very clean golden sand, warm water, lifeguard stations about every 4 blocks. Rental chairs and umbrellas available. Surf too much for very small children and not enough for surfers. No shade unless you bring it or rent it. A long smooth walkway runs for miles along the edge of the beach, good for walkers, cyclists, skaters, etc.

If you go to Galveston then you are going for the beach and relaxation. So much to see and do. People watching is fun. Many restaurants in the sea wall. So plan on driving from one end to the other to get ideas on what you want to do while on the Island. Plan on an hour drive on a... More

The seawall has a large assortment of things to do but mostly includes the beach, souvenir shops, and restaurants. Definitely visit Murdoch's for souvenirs and pleasure pier for fun!

Our time in Galveston was magical. From the rides and live music at Pleasure Pier to the endless stretches of pretty beaches, we had a perfect beach vacation. We were happy to find a range of restaurants of all prices along Seawall Blvd. We rented bikes and breezed for miles along the waterside. There were always places to stop and... More

Beach was great. Very clean. I've been before and it wasn't as clean as this time. We went at perfect time. No warnings.it is such a beautiful place to just sit back and relax and listen to the sounds of the waves.

Was nice to walk on beach or on wall. Wall had really cool park benches and lots of poke stops and water pokeman. Good restaurants along the stretch - loved Gaidos. Wish boardwalk wold not have been so expensive

Seawall is lovely. You can walk for miles along the sea front enjoying the scenery. Plenty of shops along the way as well as the lovely pier.

It was so peaceful to walk and look for shells. Water was warm and enjoyable. We did not plan enough time to see everything.
