The aquarium was closed for renovations. We enjoyed the arboretum the most. The ride in the riverboat Colonel was cancelled due to wind gusts of over 25 mph - disappointing but guess it couldn't be helped. The interactive dinosaur experience was nicely done but kind of scary for the 4-year-old with us. The grounds & butterfly garden are beautifully landscaped.... More

Great exhibit to walk through, allow 1-1/2 - 2 hours. Super photo opps too. Tropical plants and critters of all types. Would have been 5 stars except that a group of young staff were following/shadowing me beginning at 5:15 (they close at 6) to the point of becoming creepy. They said "we close at 6" and I said yes, I... More

It is great place for the whole family. My family really had a great time exploring the whole place. Beautiful scenery, the butterflies, the birds, and all the beautiful flowers. We are definitely going back soon.

I bought two day passes to Moody Gardens and half of the rain forest was closed and the aquarium was closed. When I spoke to members services and told them the situation they refused to refund my tickets!!!! Also I had a family member who wanted to buy a membership because she has a little one. so I gave her... More

I came to the resort for a triathlon and stayed just one night. Upon arriving the valets were great even thought traffic was getting heavy, it was no problem for them. There was a small line for check in and they were fast and efficient and very courteous. When we got to our room it was white and clean. The... More

The aquarium was closed but we visited the tropical jungle pyramid. It was very enjoyable. They even have a corpse flower there!!!!!! Admission is a little pricey, however.

Moody Gardens is perhaps the biggest attraction in Galveston, (along with Pleasure Pear, The Strand and the Sea Wall). It is certainly an expensive one. The place has a hotel, a convention center and a pseudo-amusement park that contains exhibits inside pyramids, a restaurant and a beach-theme water-park-pool area sort of place. Upon arrival you notice that the grounds are... More

We went here on rainy day. The aquarium is closed due to remodeling which we did know but thought the rainforest would be a fun alternative. While I thought the attraction was nice, many of the animals you are told you will see were not "out". We never saw the Ocelot, the monkeys or the Komodo dragon. Seeing the animals... More

Let's start with the parking...it's a nightmare! I was not that impressed with the rain forest pyramid and the aquarium was average at best. I would think as many tourists visit each season, they would update there facilities and exhibits more often. Also, I feel like the pricing is a little high for what you get. It's not a bad... More

We came to Galveston,Tx and unfortunately it stormed our second day so we needed some indoor activities. This one did not disappoint. There are several pyramids here. One houses the aquarium ( closed till May 2017) for renovation. The other is the Rainforest pyramid. This one houses tons of exotic animals. Tons of beautiful birds flying around, exotic monkeys running... More
