I wouldn't recommend Das Peach Haus for wine tasting (it's automated as others have mentioned) but it IS a great little shop that has a lot of great sauces, salsas, etc. away from the hustle and bustle of Main St. Also a beautiful stop to relax and enjoy the scenery. We nearly wandered into a little cabin but it was an office; the guy who works there came out and gave us a lot of background about Fischer & Wieser and Das Peach Haus. That interaction really made the visit special. :-)

I had so many people recommend this place, and it did not disappoint. Very educational and reasonable tasting, and the wine is delicious. The peach wine and the sangria - OMG. And then, to enjoy a great day sitting out by the pond in back enjoying the wine - outstanding. Great people, delicious wine, tasty jams and marinades - add this to your itinerary!

This was just going to be a short stop on our driving exploration of Fredericksburg. We ended staying for three hours! We bought a bottle of Peach Wine, an in house prepared pizza, sat out back by the lake and listened to a band. We ended up staying the whole afternoon.

We went in there the older gentleman approached us after a little while which appeared to be the owner and rudely told us if we didn’t put on a mask we had to leave, my friend told him for medical reasons she couldn’t wear them and he didn’t care and said you will have to leave. He told us he could take our order outside, she told him how would I know what I want If I have never been in here before, he still was rude. He could have cared less why she wasn’t wearing one at all. I would like to say fear is sure driving ppl but you don’t have to be rude. Just so you know it’s not a law.

Hi there! We are sorry for the negative experience you had and if the gentleman came across as rude in his delivery. The owner does not work on site, so it was not the owner. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are not allowing guests inside without a mask on - but are happy to kindly assist those unable to wear a mask outside by providing a catalog to order from. Although the experience isn't the same from a catalog, we feel this is the best decision to keep our staff and other customers safe with the current circumstances.

Nicer staff, very rude lady. My husband and I went with our kids, 8 and 11 and other friends with kids about the same age. My husband bought wine from the store and we sat in the back to drink the wine. We had been there in October and there were very few things on the menu, we had purchased hummus with veggies and cheese back them. This time before we went I looked up the menu online and I couldn't find one so I took some snacks for the kids. While we were having our wine a very rude lady came to tell us that we needed to pick up our snacks ASAP or her ass was on the line, those were her exact words not mine. I told her we brought snacks for the kids and asked her if they were going to expand their menu and she said 'there's no menu to expand'. So I told her before we had bought hummus and cheese and that's about the only thing I knew they had, she said they don't have that on the menu, since she was very rude I proceeded to tell her we had been there before and bought that then she said 'maybe that was before I worked here', she said she was fairly new. Her delivery could of been nicer, I understand if those are the rules but she was very rude and the menu should be online.

Customer service was horrible. We were ignored much of the time we were there. We saw 3 employees and only 2 other customers. The wine tasting bar was open but no one bothered to come see what we wanted to try even though we were in plain view. One employee finally spoke to tell me I was looking at the most popular product and how fast it sells. Checkout was handled begrudgingly by a young lady who barely spoke. Not impressed. Products better be good after enduring that load of BS!

Disappointing visit. I anticipated sampling various products - NO samples. The wine tasting is done via an automated system which charges $4 for a 1 oz sample. This is a soulless way to taste wine and without instructions. Staff is surly at best and ignored us. I really enjoyed the grounds and landscaping. This could have been so much better. Wine making and wine tasting requires finesse and soul. A card system without the personal touch loses the soul.

My friend and I did the cooking class and we had an absolute blast. It was private so it was just the two of us and the chef. Annie, our chef, was phenomenal. She conversed with us while showing us techniques on how to cook French cuisine. This was an experience of a lifetime and I would sign up for another class in a heart beat. The cooking class is the hidden gem of Fredericksburg as the locals are not even aware of it. The outside patio and pond were nice and quiet. I purchased several of the jellies and sauces from the store and they are delicious. A wonderful place to visit for a few hours in Fredericksburg.

Cousin’s Reunion weekend and this place was a very pleasant find. Loved the sauces and made several purchases. Did a flight of wine and tasted one we really liked. The Peach wine was wonderful. There was also a band playing and the music was fun country tunes. The pond was very inviting. This was just a great place all around. Will definitely be back.

My husband and always try to stop at Das Peach Haus when we visit Fredericksburg. We usually buy a few items and then visit the pond out back to sit and enjoy watching the fish and turtles. This time, it was raining so we were unable to enjoy the pond, but we did pick up some of our favorite items in the store: Triple Berry Jam and Mild Green Jalepeno Jelly (which is great on cream cheese). We also purchased some peach cider which we are enjoying in our hot tea. The staff was quite helpful.
