About
Wildseed Farms is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, just seven miles east of Fredericksburg, Texas. Come by and see us seven days a week, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring the camera and capture the ultimate in wildflower photographs! We have 200 acres of wildflowers in various stages of development here on the farm. Springtime visitors will likely see Texas bluebonnets, red corn poppies, phlox, and a gorgeous array of other spring flowers. Summer visitors will enjoy cosmos, sunflowers, zinnias and other warm weather bloomers. In the fall, the fields are planted for the following year's color, but our Nursery is well stocked with a variety of choices for fall planting and colorful pumpkins adorn the grounds around The Shops at Wildseed Farms which are brimming with delightful gifts for home and garden. And don’t forget to browse our incredible selection of wildflower seeds as well as our seven regional mixes for anywhere in the U.S.

So beautiful! Trails to walk through the fields with great photo ops and beautiful flowers. See an array of Texas wildflowers, take the tour bus for the vineyards, do some shopping and even buy supplies for your own garden. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. There are restrooms on site too. I recommend stopping and taking a stroll on the way into or out of Fredericksburg. I will definitely be back.

Well worth the stop for a leisurely stroll
My two out-of-state daughters and I stopped here one morning so my NY daughter could get some good wildflower pictures. We didn't really know what to expect and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We started with a light brunch, checked out the gift shop, and then strolled around the path taking a million pictures. So glad we stopped! A great way to start our day.

Highly recommend!!! Texas Bluebonnets and Poppies are at peak. This is a beautiful stop for strolling, taking pictures, shopping, wine tasting, and simply pausing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased to find they were open til 6pm today. We travelled onto Willow City Loop (about 25 mi), and we also highly recommend the scenic backroads drive. So thankful for impeccable timing today!

    A tasteful and tasty tasting!
I thoroughly enjoyed our resident tasting at Wildseed Farms. Compared to other wineries in the area, they are newer to the game having only been in production for about 4-5 years. In that short amount of time, they have become a leader in growing some unique grape varieties and have produced some award-winning wines. I would recommend making a reservation for a dry tasting and trying to get Stewart as your host if possible. The tasting room also offers a nice accompaniment menu with fruit, cheese, and other complementary charcuterie offerings.

    Nice wildflower field!
We visited in late May, so unfortunately the red poppies and bluebonnets were already gone. But, there was a small field that had a few other types of wildflowers blooming, and they were really pretty. We also saw some butterflies flying around.

We came here for my birthday weekend and it was magical. The wildflowers were in full bloom, butterflies were everywhere and the wine was AMAZING! Cole (Nicole) helped us try all kinds of wines until we found the ONE! We loved her friendly service and seeing the owners in the building enjoying their craft was a major bonus. We ended up getting a membership there!
They have lots of lawn decor and plants of all shapes and sizes and are very reasonably priced.
Can't wait for our next wine pick up!

We toured their property and butterfly garden. The plants on display for sale are a garden unto themselves! Gift shop sells all sorts of seeds and fifty things. Restaurant sells sandwiches and other items. They sell an extensive array of sauces, jellies and honey, but beware as we found same items much cheaper elsewhere in Fredericksburg. They also sell Becker and other wines.

Just a beautiful place to stop and smell the flowers. Lots of plants to see and buy. Stroll thru the butterfly garden. Lots of wildflower seeds for Texas, (of course) but for all parts of the U.S. by geologic areas. Also lots of nic nacs, ie. Wind spinners, baskets, bird baths and other yard art. Also an eatery. Also a wine bar for tasting, and buying. Hard to leave without a lighter billfold. Lol

A very large gardens full of all kinds of beautiful native Texas plants and some that weren’t native to Texas. The shop in the store inside has every kind of seed imaginable. If you’re a plant lover you will not be disappointed

Tourist trap....very disappointed...my wife and I were the only ones in the store and none of the 5 employees throughout the complex even bothered to say hello or welcome to our store. Upon checkout, I used my VIsa debit card and was charged an extra 3% because it was not cash....spent the last 4 days in Fredericksburg and NO ONE charged this convenience fee. Felt like the prices were too high and the customer service was terrible.

The place was immaculate and well-kept and definitely had alot of selection.

While we were too late for the bluebonnets we enjoyed our visit immensely. You can see the beautiful field where the flowers grow and we did see some Blackeyed Susans and the new winery they have planted now. Inside is a gem. There are beautiful gifts to be had along with many varieties of books and seeds. They have a very nice restaurant where the ice cream is wonderful and they also have a wine tasting room. We were there on a Sunday and there was a man in the wine tasting are that was playing his guitar and singing. We enjoyed that with our wine and ice cream. We could have stayed all day.

WOW, nothing is free anymore! I guess with the introduction of their new wine tasting enterprise, they realized that they could also charge for meandering through their gardens. Annual pilgrimages to see the Wildseed Farm flowers in the spring or summer maybe a thing of the past for many families.

I love Wildseed farms and I have been here several times, but today when I came the older lady with blonde hair and glasses who serves the peach bellinis in the back food and wine room was EXTREMELY rude. I came in a group with my girlfriends and she yelled at us about having to get chips and carry food around with us with our bellinis. We fully agree and applied to the rules but she could’ve have served us in a kinder manner. I have been here before and everyone is usually kind. Everyone in my group commented about how rude she had acted towards us. I will be back, but I hope to have a kinder interaction.
