Wildseed Farms is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, just seven miles east of Fredericksburg, Texas. Come by and see us seven days a week, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring the camera and capture the ultimate in wildflower photographs! Spend as much time as you like at the farm's activities. We have 200 acres of wildflowers in various stages of development here on the farm. Springtime visitors will likely see Texas bluebonnets, red corn poppies, phlox, and a gorgeous array of other spring flowers. Summer visitors will enjoy cosmos, sunflowers, zinnias and other warm weather bloomers. In the fall, the fields are planted for the following year's color, but our Nursery is well stocked with a variety of choices for fall planting and colorful pumpkins adorn the grounds around The Shops at Wildseed Farms which are brimming with delightful gifts for home and garden. And don’t forget to browse our incredible selection of wildflower seeds as well as our seven regional mixes for anywhere in the U.S.

We had a wonderful wine tasting inside, then ventured outside to view the plants for sale. Live music kept us here to sing along and enjoy the scenery.

When the wildflowers are in bloom you can see seems like miles of flowers at this one place. They are grown in rows like a field so that the seeds can be harvested. They also have seeds for sale that are packaged for the area where you live. Gardens around main building are well kept and beautiful.

There's nothing to see in the meadows when we went. So I'll try to go again in spring time or fall. Make sure you bring insect / bug sprays/ repellent my daughter was bitten by ants or something in her toe and it swelled the next day. There's tasting room also and some jams for sale with tastings too. Their... More

We've been here in spring and fall and have loved the bountiful fields of color. In the spring, there are plants, flowers, herbs everywhere. In the fall pumpkins are piled high throughout the area. In August, the fields are bare and there is hardly any plants available for purchase. The shop is still pretty as well as the tasting room,... More

There are many beautiful things in the shop, but not much related to the flowers and gardening in July, 2016. The clerk told me that salt in the well water had been a problem. There's a wide variety of clothing and gifts available.

There is a huge variety of wildflower seeds. Grab a catalog, because there are many more offered there. If you like gardening, flowers and Texas wildlife, you will love it here.

This nursery is situated before reaching Federicksburg arriving from Austin and a must stop for people who love gardening. Gift shop had very interesting gifts and facilities are beautiful and well maintained. Food shop and court was average. We tried peach ice cream but it was very disappointing as it tasted like soft serve with artificial coloring and flavoring. I... More

My family stopped here on our way out of Fredericksburg. We enjoyed our quick visit on a Sunday afternoon. We sampled some of their wine from their recently opened winery. We took lots of photos in the garden.

This is a great place for the view alone, but add in the shopping, wine and various activities including walks and things that they host, it is just a fun stop on your way to Fredericksburg.

Take a walk with the butterflies! The Wildseed Farms location has much to offer. Stroll the grounds, buy plants, buy seeds, buy jellies and appetizer items, or have lunch! Plus you can get tons of planting information from local experts on hand to chat. Don't forget to stop there as you travel Hwy 290 in Fredericksburg.
