One of the best wineries in the area in my opinion. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent wine especially if you enjoy unique red blends. The tasting room is very inviting and they have a good outdoor patio area with food trucks. Be sure to try the politics and religion wine!

We went by Hilmy Cellars on a wine tasting weekend. The staff was very nice. We did not care for their wine. I would not go back again.

While the location was fun looking like an old frontier farmhouse, the wine was generally disappointing. They had few varieties available and what they did have was average at best. One type had problems with water seeping through the cork and they had to try three different bottles to get one that didn't have that problem. The one bottle we... More

My wife and I came here as part of wine country trip we did this past weekend for my wife's birthday. She loves wine so it was her idea to spend the weekend in Fredericksburg. We visited four wineries on Saturday and Hilmy's wine were the best. We both enjoyed all the wines we tasted. I can't put their wines... More

This place is cute, has a big friendly dog and the staff is very nice. We were not crazy enough about any of the wines to purchase any but they were tasty and they give you almonds and chocolate to eat with the wines, which is nice. Great place to stop in!

We visited Hilmy on a hot and steamy Texas afternoon. It was the perfect place to be out of the heat! The tasting room is cool and inviting and very well appointed. It reminded us of a tasting room in Napa. Pretty, comfortable and inviting. Then we tasted the wine - wow! Texas wineries have come a long way and... More

Although not all of their wines are local due to bad harvest a few years ago, they have really great wines! The Robin and the TEMP were my top two favs! Lexie was our server and was very knowledgable and helpful! The outside area is very peaceful and relaxing. They have misters to help keep you cool while enjoying the... More

Went to this winery on a wine tour. The atmosphere was boring. The employees were snobby. The wine was awful.

Nice place, great tasting wines. Fun. Clean, modern tasting room. We purchased several bottles of wine and joined their Flock club.

The wine was good, and the blending choices very interesting. The server was very knowledgeable and did a good job going between four different parties. The bar height was a bit tall for me, and no rail to set a foot on and it was a bit tiring.
