We visited Fredericksburg which is about 100 miles from where we live in Texas and were so impressed. The Main Street is the centerpiece of the attractions - both sides of the street are lined with well-preserved, old Texas buildings housing boutiques, restaurants, antique shops,...More

Many shops with a mixed selection of products. Everything from a 5&10 store to upscale boutique. Fun places to browse and shop. Some tasting rooms from local wineries also there.

More than a wine destination tour in st trap, the town has a lay-back enjoyable vibe. There is a strong sense of things being crafted locally, as though wine inspired.

Beautiful stone buildings reflect the great German heritage of the area. Everything is very clean and well-kept. Obvious that folks are proud of their community and work hard to keep it that way.

There is a little of something for everyone. Most of the restaurants are on Main, and there are several interesting shops to visit. Kinda crowded on weekends and parking may be difficult to find. We parked in the Visitor Center parking lot and walked.

We enjoyed looking at the shops & seeing all of the different stuff. There’s a quilting/gift store, kitchen store, candy stores, popcorn stores, antiques, dime store, jewelry stores, boutique, athletic store, sign store,a fun shop, & even a glass blowing shop. In the summer heat,...More

We enjoyed Main Street Fredericksburg. The shops have nice stuff but I didn’t find it very unique. Lots of things I have seen before. Reminded me a little bit of Eureka Springs, Arkansas in the things that were for sale. I’ve seen it before. It...More

YES, stores are open Sundays. This is the BEST Main Street shopping we have seen in USA in last 40 years. Hours are Monday thru Saturday 9 to 6 and Sunday 11-5. Some stores will be open earlier and later. Fredericksburg has... More

I would suggest calling the Chamber of Commerce...they should have a list of Restaurants that will be open and their Holiday hours... Would suggest having a back up meal plan...just in case...
