We had a delightful afternoon at Grape Creek. Holly our server was a delightful young woman. We had two tables & she made sure we were comfortable & took excellent care of us. It was a great way to spend an afternoon during this pandemic.

It could have been a nice experience. We bought 5 bottles of wine. They put in a 6 compartmental bag, It was not strong enough to hold that many bottles. Yikes! Be sure to KEEP YOUR MASK ON at all times. In the wine tasting room at the vineyard, you can take it off to taste the wine but put it right back on. I am normally a rule follower. When I went to purchase my wine, I forgot to put my mask back on. I was not asked to put it back on politely but spotted by a big blondish guy who said "Get out now". Instead, I put my mask back on and ignored him. I think this guy that said that was having a bad day. It was the end of the day and I think he was worn out. Even though I joined their wine club that day, after my first shipment comes in I will cancel future shipments. That guy gave me a bad feeling and the bag broke added to it. BTW, the other wine tasting rooms we visited were more relaxed.

I did a one day road trip to Fredericksburg and finished it at Grape Creek. Walking in to grape creek was the best decision we made Jim was so great and informative. I’ll definitely come here just to visit Jim again! :)

Jim Overman is the sweetest, most knowledgeable gentleman gem of a wine connoisseur. My girlfriend and I just had the best experience visiting the Grape Creek tasting room in Fredericksburg. Forget what you think you know, because you’re mind is about to be blown! I never thought I would be a fan of certain wines and he opened my eyes to a whole new world of wines. But as Jim says about Grape Creek, ‘we don’t make bad wines.’ Have fun & ask for Jim.

One day went with spouse and took the winery tour. KATHY Myers was so gracious and welcoming, MONICA (tour guide) answered all my many questions and was very informative, and JASON (server at Tasting) really helped explain the flavors, textures of the wine. Based on my experience with this crew I highly recommend this tour. We loved the tastings from 3 aging barrels. It provided a better understanding of the wine making process. I highly encourage you to ask questions during the tour. Next day we visited to sit in Member Patio and drink wine. Our server ASHER was friendly and gave us specific recommendations for our pallettes. He even gave a recommendation for my spouse that has caused him to now enjoy wine. This is wonderful since spouse was only a beer drinker and now understands the enjoyment experienced from a quality product. ASHER provided great service.
