Rancho Ponte is a small-production, family-run winery with 5-acres of vines on a working 20 acre ranch, a beautiful tasting room and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Our wines have a passionate word-of-mouth following. We specialize in exceptional blends such as our Meritage (Cab Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Malbec, Merlot) and our Sorelline (Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Viognier and Muscat Canelli). Visit us and meet some of the nicest people on the Fredericksburg Wine Road 290!

In a full day of wine tastings, Rancho Points was by far the best wine and the best tasting experience. The owner is from Italy and the wines are as good as all the wine we've sampled in Europe. There are also three tasty menu items for $14 each. They're very knowledgeable and even have occasional classes. This is also... More

As soon as I walked in I could tell this was not going to be my kind of place. The owner was so rude. She didn't say hi, didn't crack a smile. She looked at me and said "Do you want something?" I don't even remember what the wine tasted like, I was so turned off by her attitude. That... More

We visited some wineries near Fredericksburg while there for a few days. Most are "ok" to "good" but the wines at Rancho Ponte really delivered. They have award winning wines and the Red Wines, my favorite, are fantastic. They have multiple layers of flavors and great finish. There is a Wine Club and you can order Red, White, Sweet, Dry... Nicole was very informative when she was telling us about the wines and the grapes used for the different blends. We like reds, so we didn't taste the whites. There were 4 reds that we liked and before we left we joined the wine club (free, ask about details). Can't wait for our shipment. We ordered 8 bottles to be... More

Nice tasting room - wine was really good. Went on Friday when it wasn't crazy crowded. Would definitely go back.

We are red wine drinkers, and typically enjoy Bourdeaux style blends and big Cabs, which won't generally be found with Texas wines. However, we loved the reds at Rancho Ponte. We found the tasting room and the service to be very hospitable and pleasant. We joined the wine club and look forward to continuing to enjoy their wines. Rancho Ponte... More

Very nice vineyard and location. Staff was very friendly and well educated on their products. I rated this a 4 only because we prefer sweeter wines, and their sweet wine selection was limited. If you like non-sweet wines, definitely give it a try.

We had been here a few years ago and and enjoyed so we cam back this time and joined their club. If you are members the tasting is free. If not it is 15. They have 3 Gold medal winners that all taste great. It is on the road from Luckenbach so it is very close to Fredericksburg. The owner,... More

The wines are ok. I actually ended up liking the crackers more than the wine. The lady at the counter kept making weird comments to us. Definitely wouldn't come back.
