I have used Fredericksburg Tours two times on girl’s wine tasting trips. When my friend suggested that we HAD take a couples trip to see the town decorated at Christmas, I knew we needed to book Fredericksburg Tours immediately.

Our husbands joked that “this is a girls trip, we are just invited.” Well, Rebecca and her team showed them.
She picked us up in a state of the art shuttle that was spacious, luxurious, and very clean. Hand sanitizer was available at the door, masks were worn, and we were walked through several Covid guidelines. I felt very safe.

Third time is even more of a charm, because we had an absolute blast on our historical, whiskey and wine experience. Our guys are making plans for us to go back in the spring. Thanks for knocking it out of the park again, Fredericksburg Tours!

We had a recent reunion in Fredericksburg and booked three different tours with Fredericksburg Tours. Becky was incredibly helpful in arranging tours that fit our group’s needs. We took a winery tour, a wildflower tour, and an LBJ Ranch/Luckenbach tour averaging 40 people per tour. On each tour FBG Tours went out of their way to ensure that the events were comfortable, informative, and memorable. Becky and her team provided us with an experience that far exceeded our expectations. Don’t even consider anyone else!

This tour adds to the long list of reasons to visit Fredericksburg. The guide made the history come alive. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The knowledge gained from this tour helped me make many connections with Texas history. We visited many sights in the town.

Was told cdc refs would be followed. PACKED TROLLEY. Every seat used. A few wore masks under chin. Not safe.

New tour guide read a script had trouble with a few words. Perhaps double up on trolleys during pandemic to make trip safe & more enjoyable.

Ssleeper, This is a serious allegation and important issue that deserves a thoughtful and immediate response. And while we truly regret that you did not enjoy your tour, the safety statements in your review are not true and I will take the time to thoroughly address your concerns so that future guests will have a better understanding of our safety operations during this difficult time for all of us. Our company has chosen to meet or exceed the suggestions of the CDC, national, State and local guidelines for the protection and safety of all. We want our guests and employees to have the assurance that we are doing our best to provide a safe environment while they travel. As a small, local business, we made the difficult decision to to cease operations in March 2020 until September 2020, foregoing our busiest season of the year due to Covid health concerns, and furloughing all of our employees for these months. This decision was made for the health and safety of our valued employees and guests as our entire Nation focused on stopping the spread of this virus. Since that time, the CDC and Department of Transportation have established guidelines for our industry to be able to offer safe practices for our businesses to be able to reopen. For the past few weeks tourism in Fredericksburg has increased monumentally and we made the decision to begin providing tours again, but only if we could find a way to operate in a safe and socially responsible manner. You happened to be here on this, the busiest weekend in Fredericksburg of our year thus far and for the first time this year, our vehicle did happen to reach our maximum limit under our new Covid standards for occupancy. Our vehicles go through stringent cleaning and fogging before and after every tour. Our fogging system is the same system used by hospital emergency services and first responder vehicles and by fogging, the disinfectant reaches every touchable surface. Notices are posted on the entry doors of our vehicles and on the walls inside our vehicles outlining our safety standards and requirements for mask wearing, hand sanitizing, and safety of guests. Our local community is asking businesses to comply with a unified standard, and we are gladly taking part in this effort to stop or slow the spread of the virus. We have installed plexiglass dividers between the driver, tour guide, and guests. Our employees provide a contactless ticket and boarding system. Even though on this particular tour there may have been someone on every bench, we sell no more than 50% occupancy seating online, and we no longer accept boarding without a reservation. Guests are asked to find their seats when boarding our vehicles starting in the back and filling to the front. We ask everyone to use the hand sanitizer that is installed at the entrance of all vehicles. We state that guests are to wear masks when on any public tour. All of this is announced when boarding, as well as on our website. Our tickets are sold online and sales are currently capped at 50% of our legal trolley occupancy for public tours. I am perplexed that were you so concerned, why did you not choose to depart from the trolley and reach out to our management? There is a trolley stop during this tour that is within a block of the departure point and you could have chosen not to reboard the vehicle, and if you had contacted the driver or tour guide or management, we would have willingly refunded your tour costs due to your health concerns and provided an opportunity for you to return to the Visitor’s Center where we begin our tours. While we are truly regretful that you did not have the experience that you hoped for, it is conflicting that you did choose to participate and did not voice your concerns until this review post. Hopefully, understanding the measures that we take for your safety will be an assurance to you and I appreciate the opportunity to hear and address your concern, even though it is through a negative review. Last, though you took a tour with one of our new guides, sometimes those who do not speak fluent German struggle with the proper German pronunciation of certain of our heritage sites. All of us are new to a job at some point in our lives. Because we exist to provide our guests with an opportunity to learn about our area, we do train and equip our new guides with a script so that they can learn and share the points that would be most interesting to our visitors via facts and not ad-lib. I'm sure that our guide was a bit nervous in the new role, but we are careful to hire people who love to share the beauty and history of our community with our visitors. Even so, it's natural to be nervous so we do allow them to bring their scripts with factual information on board until they are comfortable with the tour points. We are a family oriented tour service, established to highlight the interesting points and historic culture of our community, and it is never our intent to disappoint any of our guests.

My husband and I just returned from a few great days in Fredericksburg, TX, the beautiful center of Texas Hill Country! Our trip was planned around the Fredericksburg Trolley Wildflowers and Wildlife Tour, mainly because we wanted to come when the wildflowers were in bloom. We were definitely not disappointed! Becky (tour guide and owner) and Reon (trolley driver) treated us and several others on the tour to a few hours of beautiful red, yellow, blue, purple, and pink flowers and grasses blossoming along the roadside and in fields as far as the eye could see! All the while, we soaked up regional Hill Country history and culture as Becky relayed some of the most interesting facts and stories from the Native American Indians and German farmers who settled this region many years earlier. We were able to stop along the way for "photo ops" among the flowers and watch as tourists climbed to the top of Enchanted Rock! Part of our journey took us along the Willow City Loop through rolling hills, canyons and steep outcrops on a slow, 13-mile two-lane ranch road through some of oldest geology in Central Texas. And finally, a "pit stop" and cold bottle of Bud Light at Harry's before heading back to Fredericksburg rounded out one of the BEST tours we have ever been on! Thank you, Becky, for the beautiful images and wonderful memories, and may God bless and keep you!

If you're planing a trip to Fredericksburg, this is a must-do! There are several tours to choose from - historical to seasonal, including Christmas - even if the wildflowers are not in bloom, and they are definitely worth the reasonable charge. Their trolleys are all new, comfortable and climate-controlled. Whether you're coming in the heat of summer or the dead of winter, THIS is the way to experience Fredericksburg!

First, I will say it is always fun to have a good guide and meet other travelers who enjoy a day of food and wine. Steve H. did a great job of keeping us informed and entertained, and the group was a lot of fun.
We enjoyed visiting the William Chris Winery and having lunch out in their beautiful grounds. We tasted at least 5 different wines and took a few home with us. We also really enjoyed the Texas Heritage Winery. They have a nice patio and we thought several of their wines were really delicious. We also bought several of their wines. They gave us a great dinner recommendation, so it was a very nice day. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had a good time on the boutique wine tour this past weekend, but there’s room for improvement. Due to low attendance, our tour was combined with a different tour (which we didn’t find out about until arrival). This resulted in our stops having to accommodate to the other tour.

The first stop (Kuhlman) was fantastic and our assigned Kuhlman guide there was very knowledgeable and friendly. By far our favorite stop of the tour.

During our second stop (William Chris) our guide/driver came in to tell us we were running late and had to hurry up or else we’d have issues with our next stop. The winery was very busy so our tasting was taking longer than normal, which isn’t our fault, but our driver kept trying to rush us and hovered right next to us while we tried to enjoy the last 2 tastings here, which we ended up having to chug. Didn’t get to enjoy this stop at all due to the rushed nature and feeling like we were the ones falling behind (despite us being at the mercy of the winery).

Last stop was at Arch Ray, which had nice wines, but we didn’t get any real tasting experience here. We got our own wines from the bar and brought them back to our table. No tasting notes. No description or history of the wine. Could have done this same thing at any wine bar in town. I think we stopped here because of the nature of the other tour being combined.

Our driver/guide was friendly but didn’t seem to have a very in-depth knowledge of wine or provide much value at each stop, other than being our designated driver.

Overall for what we paid for the tour, just didn’t feel like it was above and beyond what we could have done on our own or with a cheaper tour. Might be better when it’s busier or with a different driver/guide (at least based on the reviews on here).

Had a great time last night with our tour guides Dave & Valerie on the Jolly Trolley to see the Johnson City Christmas Light Spectacular! Christmas music playing, historical information, free hot chocolate, information about the area and a short vintage movie on the way home made this a great tour!

This trip was so much fun! The smaller bus provided an easy ride with a more personal tour. Our guide was Aiden and he was professional and funny. The fact that the tour was more than wine had my husband joining (he is a beer and whiskey guy)! We had a great time, enjoyed our lunch, and of course the tastings!
