While the city of Fredericksburg is the star of the Texas Hill Country, it is also home to the many talented stars that make up the Fredericksburg Theater Company. On this 15th season, this much acclaimed theater produces exciting Broadway musicals, award winning dramas, side-busting comedies and other classics. The locals would like to keep this secret to themselves, but the theater is fast becoming a top traveler destination. Come see why the theater was named Fredericksburg's strongest art card by 100 Best Art Towns in America. You will not be disappointed.

Our first time to attend a show at this facility. We arrived about 45 minutes early. The building was open. We were greeted immediately. There were lots of helpful people. We looked as some paintings on display in the lobby. There was complimentary coffee available. Water and sodas available. The theater itself opened half an hour before the performance started.... Every performance that we've attended at Fredericksburg Theater Company has been better than the last; and this was no exception. The pre-theater nibbles and wine (for donations only) as well as the intermission desserts (for donations only) were a pleasant surprise. We are excited about the theater's upcoming offerings for this season too.

I have been going to productions of Fredericksburg Theater for several years. Without a doubt, their productions are the most professional community offerings that I have ever seen. The recent Beauty & the Beast was outstanding. Every aspect from the set design, the lead characters, the chorus, the directing, the art work were all wonderful! If they have a production... More

Not only was the set design, costume design and scenic art amazing, but the directing, casting, acting and voices brought this Disney story to life. Ten years ago, FTC brought in a professional singer from the Dallas area to star as Belle. This year the production features the voice of a young women who has grown up in the FTC... More

Our third visit, we see a show every time we come to Fredericksburg. This place is a gem! The shows were all incredible! Very talented actors and actresses. Loved the snacks served before the shows and during intermissions, the seats are very comfy and people are friendly! It's a must now.

Attended a performance of "Into The Woods" last night and was overwhelmed! The sets, lighting, audio, and actors were next to incredible! If you haven't seen our community theater you need to add it to your bucket list!

Wonderful theater to see local talent performing on the stage. The seating is comfortable. They usually serve wine before the performance and during intermission.

Advertised as Scrooge, the musical. We were warmly greeted by several volunteers, offered hot coffee, waslse, cookies and candy. They had people singing Christmas carols, and it was very festive. Then, we found out it was a movie from 1970, that was being played on a movie screen. Talk about a disappointment! We missed the parade downtown and cut our... More

LJK, I am sorry that you thought we were staging "Scrooge" instead of showing the film. Our holiday production this season on the MainStage is "A Tuna Christmas" which runs Dec. 12th-20th. Every year we present 4 classic films and we always show one following the downtown parade. The event was advertised, as always, "Classic Christmas Cinema" followed by the... More
