By no means a challenging hike, but an interesting outcrop for Geologists and laypersons. Take heed to the warnings about it being difficult to scramble up when wet.

My dog and I hike the trails that surround Enchanted Rock. Dogs cannot go up on the rock (too dangerous). The loop trail is almost 5 miles around and well marked. The views are awesome and plenty of space to just enjoy a good day...More

Came here to go rock climbing and....found that the park was shut for the week for "wildlife management". Wtf! Apparently this place is closed 1 week per month for this and often closes in the weekend once it gets too full. Given the absolute lack...More

We have been coming here to camp and hike for years, and are never disappointed. This place has it all, from leisurely hikes on crushed granite trails, beautiful views, cold swimming holes in summer, to encounters with animals, bouldering, repelling, and bolted established climbs. You...More

I now live just three hours from Joshua Tree National Park CA for the last 10 years so I'm a bit spoiled on epic desert scenery. But I will say this... ENCHANTED ROCK IS TRULY A FORCE OF NATURE IN TX! Beautiful scrubby desert sand-scapes...More

The walk to the top was tough, but totally worth it!!! The view was awesome and the rock itself was really interesting. Definitely worth the drive/walk up.

The hiking in the Texas hill country is infrequent but this hike is unique. You hike up a large exposed outcropping of pink granite for about a mile and end up with a 360 degree unobstructed view of the hill country with a 500' height....More

Really enjoyed our visit to Enchanted Rock while on a recent Texas road trip. It's quite an impressive sight as you approach it;- a large pink dome! There are quite a few hiking routes and we walked all around the rim which was 4 miles...More

One incredible landscape not limestone, but granite in the heart of Texas. It's very crowded at times and it is best to avoid going on weekends. I can hike it with a artificial hip replacement, so it's doable for a lot of folks with various...More

It’s not too cold here during Thanksgiving. I also don’t imagine it will be busy. I’d dress in layers and watch the weather.

The park is actually closed this week for a group hunt/ event. I believe they reopen on Friday at 2pm. So I wouldn't show up until then.
