Saw Reckless Kelly there on 10/21. Band was great and so was the venue. Crowd was a little rowdy, but look at the entertainment. Full bar and clean restrooms. Over all a clean establishment.
If the show was right, I'll go there again.
Only negative thing was that Reckless Kelly's lead in act was not good.

As long-time Rockbox attendees, we attended two shows (Elton Dan, then Bee Gees Gold). The shows were good as was the venue. The quality of the entertainment was marred by intoxicated audience members.
This was formerly a family oriented establishment which provided wholesome entertainment. The relatively recent availability of intoxicating beverages has wrecked that.
We also miss the chocolate chip cookies. Booze is a poor substitute.
A chatty woman sat next to my wife and insisted on talking throughout the show. A couple sitting behind us asked if she was enjoying the show. My wife responded in the negative, and the woman said, "Then you haven't had enough vodka!"
A man sitting next to me who had absolutely no sense of rhythm repeatedly elbowed me in the ribs during his gyrations. This Travolta-wannabe stood up and attempted to dance & almost fell into my lap.
I have already purchased tickets for another show next month; however, we are NOT eagerly looking forward to it because of the unacceptable behavior of a few drunks at the last two shows.
I realize there are some who think a presentation can't be enjoyed without a drink in their hands, but selling alcohol is the biggest mistake the Rockbox has made since getting rid of Mr. & Mrs. Hearn and "going in another direction." That direction is DOWN.

we have never been to the Rockbox. We love quaint theaters in small towns. This venue is perfect!!. We saw 7 Bridges - a Eagles tribute band and they were nothing short of fantastic. The staff at the Rockbox are so great and accommodating. Bathroom impeccably clean. we are returning in April for the Heart tribute band and we can't wait!

Prior to 2020 when an emergency arose one could ask for and get a refund. Recently my partner had COVID; was in the hospital and we could not make the show. Rockbox now as a NO REFUND policy. I was told to find someone else to take or purchase the tickets. Being almost a 100 miles away and the short time frame, this is impossible.

I'll make sure to pass this on to my friends who do visit Fredricksburg and have to make, normally, an overnight stay.

We spent a fun evening at the Rockbox enjoying the Beatles Tribute Band The Fab 5. It a small, intimate theatre with a fun-loving crowd. Enjoyed it and look forward to returning on our next trip.

We went to see Fab 5 during a horrible rain storm. We were completely soaked, but the theatre employees were great at getting us all in, bags for our umbrellas and wet socks. We were all a mess, but the evening went on as planned. I do wish the theatre had a little more at their concession stand. Would have liked some popcorn! All they had was candy, cookies and I believe some chips. So don’t go hungry! The theatre was nice and the employees were great. The show was wonderful except for the fact that the singer, “Paul” had already introduced his politician “Friends” to us all. And when he went to throw the T-Shirt out in our section of the theatre, but instead just “Handed” it to his “Friend”, we found that in very poor taste. Like everyone in our section had purchased tickets to see them and the only people that he saw in the audience were his friends. To he** with the rest of us. We were so insulted, we got up and left. It was just down right rude. I would never go to see Fab 5 again. The theatre itself is great but no to Fab 5. I hope he rethinks his behavior in the future because it left a very bad taste for the entire band. Probably at least 1/3 of the audience sat there completely soaked, jeans and all. And then kind of a slap in the face. I will definitely be back to the theatre for other shows and hopefully under better weather.

Loved this quant little local spot! We visited on a Friday night for a dueling piano show just after the occupancy limits/mask requirements were lifted. It was a packed house and they handled it well. They have a full bar as well as snacks available for purchase - the drinks were a little pricey, but the snacks were cheap.
