Open Range Tour's is a wine tour company specializing in private wine Tour's in the Texas Hill country as well as batchelorrette & batchelors tours. We visit every winery, distillery and brewery not only around Fredericksburg but also the Austin and San Antonio area. We provide airport shuttles, Cruise transportation to Galveston Tx, if the guest can dream it we can make it come true. We also provide wedding transportation to and from the venues.

We had a group of 13 trying to get out to a few wine tastings to celebrate a birthday and I am so glad I reached out to David, the owner of Open Range Tours. He was quick to respond and helped me schedule a party bus big enough for all of us. David, our driver, showed up early and made sure we had everything we needed for the trip. He had a giant cooler with ice and waters that we were able to load up with seltzers. I booked our wineries ahead of time which made getting into the tastings a breeze. David made sure we got to each winery on time and went in ahead to ensure each winery was ready for us when we arrived. He even coordinated to have the band at one of the wineries sing Happy Birthday! David was absolutely fantastic, and we had a great time with him. We will definitely be booking with them again for our next trip. I highly recommend Open Range Tours to anyone visiting Fredericksburg!

David was the best! We had so much fun with him and he was so easy going about where we wanted to visit and what we wanted to do. He has a great relationship with the owners of the wineries we visited and we got to meet them at each place which was neat! Also, to note-he doesn't just drop you off and wait in the van. He would take our purchases from us and take them back to the van, would check on us from time to time to make sure we had what we needed. I will definitely use him again.

This tour is great for a private ride that you are in control of! We didn’t want to do a wine tour where we didn’t want to go to certain places… we were able to go to two wineries and Luckenbach all in 4 hours without feeling rushed at all. Bus was fun and simple, just like we wanted :)

Do NOT recommend! We booked a tour for 8 people and everything was a mess from the beginning. We were told we would be upgraded to a 15 passenger bus. A 15 passenger VAN showed up with a dent in the side and ripped seats. We were told we could bring coolers. We were only able to fit 8 adults in the van with our two coolers- no way we could’ve had another person in the van. None of the wineries had been scheduled yet and the ONE we had specifically requested was not available. We had to scramble ourselves to find wineries, in which we were promised everything would be done ahead of time. The meat and cheese tray that was promised was a small tray that was bought during the tour at a convenient store to feed 2 people. Our driver was great, however the owner did not deliver what was promised and we were highly disappointed. There are plenty of companies to choose from, and I would NOT recommend Open Range.

Set up a wine tour with David at Open Range Tours. He made it so easy. He gave recommendations on wineries we might be interested in.
The tour itself was so much fun. David was the perfect host. He showed us the sights as we went from winery to winery. He made sure we were having a good time and when there was an issue, he took care of it. We were able to stop at a place not on the list and changed our plans to go to a different winery. If you are looking for a comfortable, fun and interesting tour, Open Range is your tour company! He is kind and funny. I will definitely use him again!

We booked with David for my brother and sister-in-law’s 10th anniversary. David was very accommodating and took us to some must see places: Luckenbach, Kuhlman Cellars, The 290 Wine Castle and to see the Christmas lights in Johnson City. There is no pre-set itinerary, so you can totally customize your day. The rate is by the hour and was very reasonable. Highly recommend David and Open Range! We had a blast!

We had the most amazing time on our wine tour!!! David was our driver and went above an beyond to make us feel welcome and was always offering to take pictures. I went with a group of my coworkers (we are all nurses) and he encouraged us to let loose and have a good time. He was very communicative when making the reservation and flexible with our requests. I wanted to make my own custom tour since I didn't anticipate all 13 people to get full tastings every time and David gave me great recommendations ahead of time and helped us have the perfect experience! If anyone tells you that you HAVE to book all tastings ahead of time they are wrong, you can bring larger groups as walk-ins and do individual glasses/share bottles for a more casual experience. We did go on a Thursday so that may have helped too. 10/10 experience, we had a blast!!

David and his team arrived early... everyone on his team were very polite and courteous.. they went out of there way to make extra stops for everyone along the way... provided much needed umbrella service and they made sure everyone got back safely after the wedding reception...will use his service again in the future..thanks.

We had a great day today with David taking us around to all the wineries. Would recommend Open Range and am looking forward to using them again. Open Range worked on getting us the best appointments to the wineries that met our tasting needs.
