About
Barons Creek Vineyards is a beautiful Italian styled winery with carefully curated wines from all over the US and Spain. Our tasting room offers private tasting experiences for 2 to 20 customers, and large group private events. We have overnight accommodations on the property that are well appointed and ready for any celebration. Our outdoor Pavilion is a great place to tie the knot, with wedding views around our large fountain and exquisite Italian villas. We have a third floor tower experience available by reservation with 360 views of the hill country...

We spent a pleasant hour or more at Barons Creek Winery, and enjoyed it tremendously. The grapes come not only from Texas, but also from Spain, California and Washington - so they have a much wider variety of wines than just from Texas. They also have three tasting centers - this one in Fredericksburg, Georgetown, and Granbury. They also have elegant villas available to rent for a night or a weekend. We ended up joining the wine club, which gives a significant discount on their fabulous wines.

The Mesquite Farmhouse at Baron's Creek was a fabulous find for us. The cottage itself is really quaint and hyper clean and has all the facilities & more you need to be self sufficient. We loved and made use of the outdoor jacuzzi and the view out from the porch was serene, especially the grazing deer in the morning. the whole complex is nicely spaced out so you really get a strong privacy feeling. It was also great having a Club onsite and we were pleasantly surprised to check it out on the Friday night and find a good ol rollicking blues concert going on. It was great to have fun and a few adult beverages and then not to have to drive home. Any interactions we had with the onsite staff and management were also fantastic. This is definitely a place we will be returning to.

Gorgeous vineyard with delicious wine and wonderful service! We had a great time sitting outside, soaking up the stunning views and live music with our tasting. Our server, Rachael, was wonderful. She was clearly an expert and even swapped around some of the wines we got to taste based on our preferences. I will definitely come back!

Terrible...Wife and I made a reservation last week for dinner (pizza and a bottle of wine for two), drove all the way down to Fredericksburg from Austin, walk in, hostess walks half way to the tables, points at the pavilion and says pick any table you want and walks off.

We go and sit down, look at each other for 15min before a server talks to us. She asks us, “do you want a hot dog?” Confused we ask for the menu, literally nothing but hot dogs...I wish I was making this up. 100dF weather, outside tables, red wine choices and hot dogs...why would anyone spend $100 for a bottle of wine, hot dogs and bake in that kind of wether? We walked out and got dinner in town.

We originally booked a villa 2 months in advance on Airbnb. Somehow they're system double booked the rooms and we were contacted that they would have to cancel our reservation a few days later. We found an alternate place to stay and were contacted back a few days later to then find out there is an opening due to a few cancellations so we jumped on it. We made a reservation for a wine tasting for Friday when we arrived to the vineyard. Not only did it take 20 minutes to get seated they apparently had a small wedding in the court yard so the tasting was done inside and we could not enjoy the beautiful courtyard or weather. We were poured a new glass every 15-20 min (due to them having 1 server for 5 couples while he was also speaking to a large group and other customers). Needless to say it was not a great experience especially having a reservation for a tasting months in advance. We finally made it to the room around 9PM and layed down for a some relaxation only to be woken multiple times from people in the villa above. It sounded like they were bowling and moving furniture until 12AM+ (unbelievably loud). This continued throughout our whole stay, not to mention we could hear the neighbors getting it on. The walls are paper thin. So I highly recommend if you want some relaxation, peace and quiet and a good experience look at staying somewhere else. Both the hospitality manager and general manager were both contacted after our stay which was 5 days ago and its been crickets. No response from either.

What a waste of time and money!! The service was absolutely terrible. Out waiter refused to wear a mask (although he had one around his neck.) We were forced to put our masks on each time he came by with the different wines....so incredibly rude as it was obvious we were uncomfortable. We ordered a ridiculously overpriced pizza that took 45 minutes. We ordered a glass of wine when the pizza finally came which he never brought. Some of the wine is nice but definitely not worth the tasting fee. There are so many lovely wineries in Fredericksburg....this is NOT one of them!

This is our third New Years visit to Fredericksburg, and our third stay in the Villas. Needless to say, this is our “go to” accommodation. If you are looking for contemporary style, not the typical “down home” country accommodation, look no further. This property is a few miles outside Fredericksburg, and is fronted by the wine tasting facilities and, then behind, two 6 room villas. We enjoy the suites, that offer a King bedroom, sitting room and a separate bathroom, with water closet, bath and glass enclosed shower. There is a microwave and refrigerator, but no actual kitchen. The style, again is contemporary, with very tall ceilings, opening to a balcony overlooking the courtyard and wine tasting areas. There is a fire pit and whirlpool which we have yet to enjoy. The ambience is quiet, so if you prefer a muted environment for your visit, this is the place. We have appreciated the fact that there can be little to no contact with others, given this pandemic that we all suffer. We drive to the town, an easy jaunt as the highway morphs into Main Street. But if you choose, there are rows and rows of winerys in the opposite direction, just minutes from the Villas. We were delighted to find a gifted bottle of champagne when we checked in, just another indicator of the very classy property management. All said, this is a terrific property. We are sure you will be pleased with your stay. Enjoy!!

From the moment you arrive until the time you regretfully leave, this has o be one of your stops. In fact, my wife and I are sorry we didn't get married here. It's that romantic and accommodating. Our wine tasting and food pairings here were absolutely worth every penny and wonderful varietals from which to select. A must on your list of visits.

My brother set reservations to propose to his girlfriend. Well, the staff completely ruined the surprise. Over the walkie talkie, as we were confirming details of our check-in, a staff member states that the other people part of the reservation had already arrived and they were there for a PROPOSAL. Staff should be trained not to communicate sensitive details, or staff needs to wear headphones at all times. When we told the staff they just ruined the surprise, the staff were unapologetic and acted like they didn't do anything wrong because they "don't know anything". I even spoke to the manager and she couldn't care less, was dismissive, and just said she spoke to her staff about wearing earpieces at all times. Nothing was offered to my brother or his new fiance to make up for the mistake. I would stay far away from this place, especially when planning anything of importance. Take a look at the other bad reviews, seems like multiple people have had the same horrible experience.

I can’t stress enough that this is the best winery. Not only is the wine amazing, they truly take time to make sure your every need is met. We stayed Halloween weekend at the Villas and Taylor took great care of us. We will be visiting again as soon as possible and highly recommend it to any couple looking for a fun, romantic weekend getaway.
