    Great winery!
This was our first stop on the 290 wine shuttle. We didn’t have reservations, but they weren’t busy so we were quickly served. The service was really excellent, and she even took photos of us! The wine was really good, and it was a beautiful property!

    Loud Wine Tasting
We booked a wine tasting and after being seated we were given the option of two different tasting menus, one a mixture of two whites, one rose, and two reds, or a menu of five reds. We started out inside the tasting room, however the volume quickly became way too loud for us to hear each other talk due to a few loud groups in the room, so our bartender/waitress allowed us to move to a table outside where it was quieter. There was a bathroom trailer outside that seemed to have been locked for the night so we had to search for a different bathroom in the main building (a separate building from where the tasting room was located). The wine was good, but nothing too unique. The views and back courtyard were beautiful, but I don't think we will be returning.

Great place to stay for couples!
Baron’s Creek is a great place to stay for couples. We’ve stayed twice now, and the Villas are beautiful, well maintained and roomy and well stocked with a mini fridge, glassware and keurig with K cups and creamers. A great place to return to after a day of frolicking in the wine country! The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. And on top of that your stay includes a free tasting for each guest. We took home a couple of bottles of Crazy Train (yum), and we enjoyed their Cava white sparkling wine (multiple bottles😎) during our stay. Those were our faves, but we tried a number of other reds and whites- and enjoyed them too!

Perfect getaway in Texas wine country.
We had a lovely time at this beautifully maintained property. Our villa (#12) was exquisite, perfectly clean and outfitted well. Our stay included a complementary wine tasting at Barons Creek Vineyard (located on property) which we took advantage of. We liked their wine so much we joined the wine club. It was the perfect getaway for two.

Terrible...Wife and I made a reservation last week for dinner (pizza and a bottle of wine for two), drove all the way down to Fredericksburg from Austin, walk in, hostess walks half way to the tables, points at the pavilion and says pick any table you want and walks off.

We go and sit down, look at each other for 15min before a server talks to us. She asks us, “do you want a hot dog?” Confused we ask for the menu, literally nothing but hot dogs...I wish I was making this up. 100dF weather, outside tables, red wine choices and hot dogs...why would anyone spend $100 for a bottle of wine, hot dogs and bake in that kind of wether? We walked out and got dinner in town.

We originally booked a villa 2 months in advance on Airbnb. Somehow they're system double booked the rooms and we were contacted that they would have to cancel our reservation a few days later. We found an alternate place to stay and were contacted back a few days later to then find out there is an opening due to a few cancellations so we jumped on it. We made a reservation for a wine tasting for Friday when we arrived to the vineyard. Not only did it take 20 minutes to get seated they apparently had a small wedding in the court yard so the tasting was done inside and we could not enjoy the beautiful courtyard or weather. We were poured a new glass every 15-20 min (due to them having 1 server for 5 couples while he was also speaking to a large group and other customers). Needless to say it was not a great experience especially having a reservation for a tasting months in advance. We finally made it to the room around 9PM and layed down for a some relaxation only to be woken multiple times from people in the villa above. It sounded like they were bowling and moving furniture until 12AM+ (unbelievably loud). This continued throughout our whole stay, not to mention we could hear the neighbors getting it on. The walls are paper thin. So I highly recommend if you want some relaxation, peace and quiet and a good experience look at staying somewhere else. Both the hospitality manager and general manager were both contacted after our stay which was 5 days ago and its been crickets. No response from either.

What a waste of time and money!! The service was absolutely terrible. Out waiter refused to wear a mask (although he had one around his neck.) We were forced to put our masks on each time he came by with the different wines....so incredibly rude as it was obvious we were uncomfortable. We ordered a ridiculously overpriced pizza that took 45 minutes. We ordered a glass of wine when the pizza finally came which he never brought. Some of the wine is nice but definitely not worth the tasting fee. There are so many lovely wineries in Fredericksburg....this is NOT one of them!

I don't recommend this winery and am extremely disappointed in this experience.

I booked the "Ultimate Wine Experience" with high hopes of a great food and wine pairing, in an intimate setting, with a knowledgeable server. However, I was embarrassingly disappointed I took my group here. At over $50 per tasting and the name of "Ultimate Wine Experience" I expected some level of personalization and intimacy for our group, but received none.

We were brought in and seated at a bar top, with the 5 people in my group in a single line. I had to get up to have a conversation with the other people in my group at the end of our row. The wine pours were at most an ounce and a half, which, for $50/tasting, I expected more wine. I was unable to truly gain the full experience of the food and wine pairing because by sipping the wine to taste its flavors and notes, having a small bite of the cheeses provided, then sipping the wine again to taste the changes, the small pour was gone. The overall maybe glass and a half of wine, incredibly small bites included did not warrant the $50 per person price.

Again, at that price point of the "Ultimate Experience", I expected a server to sit with us, talk to us about wine, and be dedicated to our group alone (especially since we were charged a mandatory 20% gratuity), but she was spending half her time with the group on the other end of the bar.

The wines overall were not that good, the service was terrible, the knowledge of the server was subpar, and the overall experience was not at all worth the money.

I don't recommend Baron's Creek Vineyards and honestly am embarrassed to have taken my group there.

My brother set reservations to propose to his girlfriend. Well, the staff completely ruined the surprise. Over the walkie talkie, as we were confirming details of our check-in, a staff member states that the other people part of the reservation had already arrived and they were there for a PROPOSAL. Staff should be trained not to communicate sensitive details, or staff needs to wear headphones at all times. When we told the staff they just ruined the surprise, the staff were unapologetic and acted like they didn't do anything wrong because they "don't know anything". I even spoke to the manager and she couldn't care less, was dismissive, and just said she spoke to her staff about wearing earpieces at all times. Nothing was offered to my brother or his new fiance to make up for the mistake. I would stay far away from this place, especially when planning anything of importance. Take a look at the other bad reviews, seems like multiple people have had the same horrible experience.

The property was gorgeous but our tasting was not up to the standard that was expected of the vineyard. The person who was in charge of our tasting was rude from the start and completely ignored us during our tasting. He was much more interested in the “older looking couples” than my boyfriend and I and didn’t bother to tell us what we were tasting. He just pointed to the tasting sheet and told us to go ahead and read the tasting notes if we wanted to know what the wine was like. He also spent more time complaining in front of us about how his station was set up than the actual wines. We ordered the charcuterie board as well and it was way over priced for the quality of food that was on there.

I can’t stress enough that this is the best winery. Not only is the wine amazing, they truly take time to make sure your every need is met. We stayed Halloween weekend at the Villas and Taylor took great care of us. We will be visiting again as soon as possible and highly recommend it to any couple looking for a fun, romantic weekend getaway.

We went for a tasting and got the variety. It was actually pretty phenomenal! All of the wines were very good, and they actually provided pairings of foods as well. I thought it was expensive, but comparing to the other wineries around, it was about the same price ($25/tasting) so not bad. I would definitely recommend just getting a bottle and sitting outside! I cant remember which wines they were, but the one with honeysuckle notes and the red that pairs with the chocolate coffee bean were our favs! Would def go back!

Gorgeous vineyard with delicious wine and wonderful service! We had a great time sitting outside, soaking up the stunning views and live music with our tasting. Our server, Rachael, was wonderful. She was clearly an expert and even swapped around some of the wines we got to taste based on our preferences. I will definitely come back!

Barons Creek only excepts reservations... no walk ins. We were able to get one on a busy memorial day weekend. On the inside the place had more of a feeling of a bar than a vineyard but our wine tasting host Larry made all the difference. We enjoyed talking and joking with him and had a fun time. The outside grounds were very nice with live music if you are looking to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. We have better wine at some of the other wineries, but we’re glad we visited because of Larry.
