What a blast! This is such a great way to experience The Historic Fort Worth Stockyards with a group (we had 10 people in ours). We enjoyed being the Cowtown Capers "posse," hunting through town for a wanted outlaw. We met with and gathered clues from cowboys, saloon girls, and townspeople and followed a map around the stockyards. We felt like we had gone back in time as we followed these clues through businesses, bars, and back streets We also had two great snack/drink stops along the way and enjoyed the history and beauty of the Stockyards and its businesses. Plan on dressing casually (western is fun!) and wear good walking shoes/boots. The whole activity takes about 2 hours, so you still have time to dine, shop, and experience the other great events in the Stockyards. A fun activity for tourists and locals, and I would highly recommend as a team-building event for businesses and clubs.

I so appreciate you mentioning the other businesses in The Stockyards. There are loads of amazing places to go to eat, drink, shop, and enjoy. I meet so many locals who've never explored this cool area.

Cowtown Capers is a short, 2h hour walk through the historic Stockyards of Fort Worth following clues given by historical characters from the 1800's. An excellent and fun way to explore the stockyards while visiting with some of the local stores, bars and restaurants. Great outing for a family, friends or just couples looking to meet others and enjoy the experience.
The entire program is well put together and the character actors do a great job of entertaining you. We visited two bars and had great appetizers and drinks in each while being entertained.
The tour lasted about 2 hours, but we probably walked less than a 1/4 mile in total. However, the Stockyards pavements are by no means even, so wear some solid shoes.

Perfect pace of clue finding with friends, spontaneous, fun interactions and plenty of stops for food and drinks. Great for all ages, from teen groups to seniors.
