We visited McDavid studio to see Terry Bozzio, a drummer. I was a little concerned about the acoustics, but was pleasantly surprised! While the music was loud, it was not deafening. I thought Mr. Bozzio did a great job, obviously a very talented musician.
The seating is usually general admission, so get there early. Even though the place was sold out, I did not see a bad seat in the house.
The venue did have a cash bar set up in the corner.
We did not take advantage of the free parking in the garage, instead we opted for the free parking on 3rd street and had a one block walk.
If you go, make sure you walk around the newly renovated Sundown square.
We love downtown Fort Worth and I would absolutely return to this wonderful venue.
It would be great to see a classical Spanish guitarist on stage there.
The tickets were very reasonable at 33.00 each.

Many of the groups that played at Caravan of Dreams in the '90's often play at McDavid Studio (across the street from Bass Hall in downtown FW). The studio is really just a big room that is set up with folding chairs at small bistro-like tables for 2 or 4 people or sometimes just rows of chairs. There is no reserved seating; it's first come first serve. There's really no bad seat as the room is small but I still suggest to get there about 30-45 minutes ahead of time to pick your best spot especially if you have more than 2 people & want to sit together. You can buy a bottle of wine at the bar & settle in as the setting does provide an intimate arena. Helpful hint: don't sit near the door as people are constantly walking by to go to the restroom or bar.

Great small intimate theatre. Free parking right out front after 6pm. Friendly staff, small but adequate bar. No food allowed.
