We specialize in trail rides to places around the DFW Texas metroplex such as Lake Grapevine, Copper Canyon, and Ray Roberts. We have many trails to choose from, so your trail ride won't be the same every time you come riding with us. If you know of another set of trails in the DFW area you would like to ride, let us know and we will try to accommodate you. The horseback riding is offered year round.

Absolutely amazing… very calm and peaceful ride. I had no experience before hand and was treated very nicely. Stunning view of the lake as well… felt confident and satisfied leaving, would definitely recommend and I’m going back soon hopefully 🤞!!

Sad People have forgotten communication and commitment are important for anything and tossing comments for needs is COOL. Anyways, I have been atleast 3 times now my self and with my friends with Agave folks. The Trail rides near Grapevine lake is what I am used. AM rides and 4:00 PM rides are perfect for anyone who have atleast ever rode a horse once in their life time....Beginners, Intermediates or advanced you can have a blast upon how you connect with your horse. Cristina and team are very welcoming, low key and flexible. You cannot beat their prices for a 2 hour ride anywhere within DFW area if you REALLY have explored other ranches around!!!

This was a nice after Thanksgiving treat with my sister & her children. The horses were mild mannered & our guide gave lots of tidbits on the area of Southlake. Thanks Christina, looking forward to the next time.

Down in Dallas for Business for a short term assignment and LOVE Texas. My boyfriend and I have always talk about going horseback riding and where better to do it, than in Texas! He wanted to surprise me with a beautiful sunset ride. He spoke with Christina several times to go through the details. Due to my work schedule and traffic, I had to leave the office early, to fight rush hour and get to Agave for our 6PM ride. Much to our surprise we arrived at 5:15PM, looking forward to enjoying the beautiful sunset. When we arrived we noticed that a small group on horseback, was leaving the parking lot. Approaching the horse trailer, we were greeted by an Agave guide, we told him we were there for the 6PM ride. At 6:25pm, still no sign of our guide and there were only 2 horses available. Dusk is at 6:45pm, in Dallas. He had no phone to call Christina, to be able to give us a definite answer on her return. Three days later, I called Agave to try to reschedule and mentioned the mishap, and she could care less. No Souther Hospitality here!

In response to your complaint, I don't usually take 6PM rides during the winter, but had made a special exception for your boyfriend so that you would both be able to go. Had I known you would have been able to make the 5PM ride earlier that day, I would have been able to bring the correct number of horses and accomadate everyone on the same ride. I have limited availability on the weekends, so I am sorry that I was unable to accomadate you on short notice.

Christina was quick to respond to requests, made room for me at the last minute and worked to set up rides for my vacation week. The horses were well behaved and super sweet. She could charge so much more but just loves what she does and helping people. You should definitely try this ride out.

My 6 year old granddaughter wanted nothing but a trail ride for her birthday so off we went. We took the whole crew, her mother/my daughter, her 9 and 3 year old sisters and me, the older than I want to say, heavier than I want to say and less than beginner in the group.
Christina was wonderful and her helper was EXACTLY that, a helper. Both her and Cristina gave head's up instructions when going up and down hills, how to 'steer' clear of brush or mud holes and when the group wanted to trot and I did not, the helper back with me to make sure all we well. All of the horses were gentle and Christina was ever mindful of the most precious cargo I have...my family.
All of that was great but the MOST important thing to me was maintaining my dignity getting on and off my horse. Christina's experience shined bright as I was helped on and off without an issue.
I recommend Agave Hurricane Trail Company to anyone,.beginners included, looking for a good time on the trail.

We chose the 2 hr trail ride which was very reasonably priced against other riding companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The trail head was easy to find and offered safe parking and bathrooms.
Our guide, Christina, was nice and friendly. She talked about the area and even offered to take pictures for everyone on the ride when we arrived at the lake.
The horses were calm and even the beginner in our group had a fun easy ride. The trail was a little muddy so we only got to trot for a small patch but it was still fun.
Since we were the only group of the day, our guide took the time to chat with us afterwards and offered some local advice on places to see and eat at. She even allowed my daughter to braid a mane and feed the horses treats!

My wife and I took a 1.5 hour horseback ride with Cristina this past week. As tourists from NY, we wanted that authentic Texan experience, and we had an absolute blast! We met her in the Bob Jones Park and rode through the beautiful park stopping at Grapevine Lake for pictures. Her horses are so well behaved/trained- my wife has never rode a horse before, and myself only once, and we felt safe and comfortable on them the whole time. Cristina is very friendly and knowledgeable, and enjoyed our time with her on the trails. For the price and experience, you can't beat it! Thanks Cristina!
