I come to this park often to enjoy the trails and nature. Over 27 miles of trails to hike. Some areas can be challenging while others are flat and wind you through various landscapes. Each year when my family plans a big hiking trip we always come to this park to train. It's a bonus being able to hike along... More

My wife and I have visited more times than I can remember, they have a lot of trails and we will always see wildlife on our walks. We have been visiting for years and they continue to improve the center and refuge. It is a hidden treasure just west of the Fort Worth where you get away for awhile.

I recently went to the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge after spending the previous day at the North Park Center in Dallas -- great mall but WAY too many people for me. I spent the next morning at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, and it was very nice to get away from crowds, enjoy nature, and get... More

Thanks for the great review. Our snakes, while housed in small enclosures, are exercised frequently as they are used for our education and outreach programs. We appreciate your concern for all creatures, great and small! More

I signed my 3 year old up for a preschool discovery course. It was $8 on top of the entrance fee. She absolutely loved it!! They painted, read, took a small hike, fed titles and alligators, and lots more. The teachers were wonderful! It was definitely worth the $8!!

This is a very cool place to hike around and take in the scenery around the outskirts of Ft. Worth. The visitor center has some cool exhibits including live reptiles and fish. The trails are and traverse different types of landscapes including marshes and fields. The entrance fee of $5 per person is well worth it.

I really love the Fort Worth Nature Center! All of my friends eventually have to visit here with me. There is great hiking. You can rent canoes. There's a wonderful nature center. You can see prairie dogs and the buffalo. My favorite hike in FW is the canyon ridge trail but be warned it is a bit challenging. The boardwalk... More
