Beautiful trails for all abilities. Turtle trail has a lot of good waterfowl and the nature center has some cool live animals for kids to see up close.

We live near the refuge and love it very much (20 yrs). I appreciate sharing the land with nature. It is not for.those who need entertainment. It is a place of peace. I have taken people from other countries to celebrate the.beauty. Also took my children and grandchildren to teach them how to live with nature. My camera loves to document the changes. I loved sitting with my mother on the pier and listening to the water lilies pop seeds. Heard the cries of the newborn alligators on back of their mom. What joy!…

My friend and I hiked many of the trails and loved it very much! I would suggest going in cooler weather though with plenty of water and sturdy shoes.
