A great way of experiencing an exciting national past-time

Visited with friends who live in Dallas. A very American, all action event that the Americans do better than most. From the national anthem and obligation to the colourful entry... read more

We visited the stockyard and stayed for the 8pm sat night rodeo race. It was not as good as the rodeo in mesquite. Not much variety in terms of shows or demonstration of skills. So low entertainment value. But still good to experience the rodeo and see how the race is done. Pop corns are very well liked by the... More

Visited with friends who live in Dallas. A very American, all action event that the Americans do better than most. From the national anthem and obligation to the colourful entry of the riders and their horses. A number of different rodeo events to keep everyone interested and the ever present risk of danger make this an exciting event. Would recommend... More

This was a terrific time with the qualifiers. The event was well run and fast moving. We got reserved seats which provided a very good view and very sore bottom. The reserved seats are unpadded folding metal chairs. Had we known, we would have brought cushions or something.

Rodeos may not be for the weak hearted, as anything can happen. But the expert horse and cattle handlers left no doubt in my mind they knew exactly what they were doing and capable of handling any situation that might arise. We even got to see the animals up close, pet and feed them. The entire staff were gracious &... More

Good pricing and a true rodeo. You can pay extra for reserved box seating. (NOTE: they sell you a specific seat but the seats in the box are not numbered so it appears first come get the best seats. Six seats to a box. You sit on old metal folding chairs.) Rodeo consists of events with audience kids, bull riding,... More

Something we will never forget, the whole atmosphere, the noise, the smell of the horses, the speed the everything. We've never been to a rodeo before and we're told this is up there as one of the best you'll see. The bucking bronco riders were astonishing, they looked like rag dolls! You have to do this if you're in Fort... More

We actually went to the rodeo at the Will Rodgers stadium, but I'm assuming its the same thing - this is a must do - its like pure, mainlined America shot into your veins. If you go to Ft Worth, and the rodeo is going on and you don't go, you should just be forced to leave. Its that good.

Simply put - the Fort Worth Rodeo and Stock Show are the best. It is a must see. If you visit weekdays, there is no crowd and you can see it ALL in just a few hours. Weekends are a different story. Talk about CROWDS. But it is great - a must do,see.

Not my thing at all and not really interested but i went with my partner who was very excited. So she did love it, while i wasn't bored, i did get tired of the repetitiveness of what i was looking at but the crowd interaction and some of the riding was entertaining.
