We all know that zoos aren't "natural"; they don't offer animals an environment that truly mimics their habitat, but Fort Worth Zoo works hard to come close for many of the animals. The trek up the hill of the zoo offers a great variety of...More

A bargain at $14 bucks for a few hours of viewing the animals. Lots of walking but easy enough to navigate. Not as big or complete as San Diego Zoo but we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in 70's Stayed for about 3 hours. Kind out...More

This is a great zoo. Great location, well run, clean. If you live in Fort Worth just get a annual pass vice paying regular entry price. It is paid for after 2 visits.

Incredible animals horrible long narrow layout - L shaped. Wipes out kids by the end. Genius to have $2 train ride back but you have to go back and forth and its exhausting.

My family loves this zoo! The zoo is laid out such that there tends to be a lot of shade. We have gone to this zoo in the winter, spring and summer. Going anywhere outside in the south in August is a little rough but...More

I love to see when the animals look happy. The zoo is laid out well and it's easy to get around. There is an area where you can go inside and birds are flying free and you can feed them. The kids love that part....More

This zoo had clean, lush grounds. The animals were active and in a beautiful habitat. My kids LOVED feeding the giraffes--they got up so close with no line to wait in!

This zoo is well designed with a wide variety of mammals, birds, and reptiles. We especially enjoyed the Texas section with native animals. The aviary was beautiful and fun to be able to feed the birds.

So the Houston Zoo, my hometown, is nice but the Fort Worth Zoo takes the prize. My two grandkids, ages 3 and 4, walked for 4 1/2 hours and never once complained. We never even thought about getting a stroller or wagon for them. We...More

Any day is a good day for a Zoo visit! The Zoo does provide electric wheelchairs for patrons. I would call ahead and double check if they will have enough for your party as it's first come first serve. Wednesday is... More
