Every year we take our grandson to the zoo and this one by far is the best in the DFW area! It is very clean, very huge trees that provide relief to our Texas heat and there is a huge selection of animals and the highlight for our grandson was feeding the small birds. The place is clean and staff... More

Very well built and organized zoo, dirt cheap to get in, staff at the zoo train station are helpful. Great for kids. Could open earlier than 10, maybe 9 am. Plenty of parking spots.

Loved this zoo, I took my daughter here and I absolutely love how you can walk the length and then take the train back, because its a large place. The enclosures are nice and clean and the animals , with the exception of the gorillas who looked very sad, they should have more activities to do) looked happy and healthy.

Love the Fort Worth zoo, always clean and full of people, but never seems crowded. the new water park is a plus, if only it wasn't an additional charge.

Since being privatized, the zoo has really expanded the exhibits and improved the park considerably, albeit not without some obvious commercial sponsorships. After having been to many zoos across the U.S., I would rank the FW Zoo in the top 10%.

This splash pad has been open for about a year and we have been numerous times. It's fun for young children not intended adults or teenagers. One word of warning, the slides are made of very hard plastic and are not cushioned around the exit. We had two head injuries here. Major bruising and swelling. Just be sure to advise... More

My family and I really enjoyed the zoo. There are so many things to see and for kids to do, you could spend an entire day doing it all. Maybe even two. The atmosphere was my favourite part. You're surrounded by plants, trees, bamboo, shrubs, etc. - lots of shade opportunities and reading seats to avoid overheating. This was my... More
