Since its inception in the early 1970's, the Kimbell Art Museum continues to offer exquisite art, sculpture and artifacts. We recently viewed the marvels of the Louis Kahn architectural and art collection. Weaving art, culture, and nature into his groundbreaking architecture, Kahn's works are a collection to marvel. Now the visit can be extended into the Piano Pavilion which offers... More

Two most interesting buildings housing a wide variety of art from around the world. We spend several hours and could have spent more. Great free parking under the museum buildings.

Wow! I'd check out architect Louis B Kahn's illegitimate son's documentary from local library in Birmingham, Mi. Resolved to see Kahn's work when our RV needed a fuel pump in Terrell,Tx we visited The Kimball. Ads on local NPR affiliate were helpful. We visited on a Friday. We had no idea about existence of a Fort Worth museum district. It's... More

Excellent collection. Well worth the visit. Best not try to see everything. They have a Caravaggio and many excellent originals from medieval to the modern artists.

Was not very large. Had a few great paintings from some big name artist. The buffet with music on Friday night was great. Tortilla soup was wonderful.

LOVE this museum. Been there so many times. The new wing by architect Renzo Piano is for special exhibits and is really beautiful. The lawn between both buildings is perfect and peaceful. I've been over there with some fellow yogi's for outdoor meditation. This museum has a great place to eat and I love the gift shops which are a... More

Great museum. The permanent collection is great. They seem to average about 3 special exhibitions a year... Highly recommend - and join - it is worth it.

We were fortunate to be here when the Louis Kahn exhibit itself was actually here. An amazing pice of architecture- perfect lighting and perfect sound in the theatre. Would love to go see a concert here. A must see for everyone in the family!

Many examples of periods of art are on display at the Kimbell. Often there is a special exhibit that merits attendance. Saunter through the permanent exhibits to savoy the high quality of the holdings. The museum shop is amply stocked with books. guides, prints, and other materials that you may wish.
