About
Located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, Dripping Springs Vodka is made and owned by Dripping Springs Distilling, LLC. Dripping Springs is micro-distilled 20 times in copper pot stills in small 50-gallon batches. It is then mixed with pure, mineral-rich artesian spring water from the Texas Hill Country before a final clarifying slow filtration through Swedish activated charcoal. Dripping Springs is lush and balanced, with a smooth finish. Dripping Springs Vodka won Gold Best in Class and the Vodka Purity Trophy at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2008. It is the only American Vodka to have won the Vodka Purity Trophy in 50 years of the IWSC, which is the world’s largest and most prestigious Liquor and Wine competition. While here, you can also sample our Dripping Springs Orange Vodka, Dripping Springs Artisan and Traditional Gins, and our 1876 Straight Texas Bourbons.

This was hands down the best distillery in the area. We had the bottle tour which included a tasting of vodka gin and bourbon. Sooooo much better than Deep Eddie just down the street. There was live Music , smoother drinks and Friendlier staff and MUCH BETTER vodka.

Came by for the tour and tasting and didn't want to leave. Very good tour. The guide was very informative and interesting. The place is very nice with a large indoor and outdoor seating area. Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed a Saturday morning visit to this Distillery & Tasting Room in Dripping Springs. Cary was our hostess and she was very welcoming, fun and quite informative. This place has a good variety of vodka flavors from which to choose. Although we did not take the distillery tour, we could tell it was going through an expansion / renovation project to enlarge its facility. The tasting area will be able to accommodate much larger crowds of visitors in the future. Tasty vodkas!!!

We enjoyed our visit at Dripping Springs Vodka!
Walked in and they were hosting a tasting of Craft Spirits! I will point out that the 1876 Vodka was a favorite! The hostess and hosts were AMAZING! We had so much fun learning about how the Spirits are made, the water that is used and the way it is bottled (Kudos to Alex)! The Peach Vodka was award winning. The passion that was put into the tour, you can tell that the owners treat their people very well. You have to come visit!

We got there a little early but they were kind enough to let us sit inside. They provided popcorn and water until they were open. Once open we ordered drinks off the menu.
We sat around until time for the tour inside on the benches as the summer was just to hot.
Make sure you had a drink and roll out to the distillery. You actually walk through the complete processing are to get there. You will be back so be patient in your questions. We exited out the back and into the actual ditiallary. On your left before you go in is a large USMC metal box that secretly- not anymore- holds the power.
As the doors open you are immediately hit with a blast of 120 degree heat. Inside you get to see the 50 gallon copper vats lined up. These were made in the Austin area and different from others in the area. The box below holds a unit similar to a bunsen burner. Each vat runs at different temperatures as each is unique. Today it was gin day. This truly is a micro distillery. They use pure artesian locally sourced water.

I learned that their vodka is made with Mid-Western corn and gluten free grain. Interesting fact as this vodka has been certified as kosher. The vodka is distilled 50 times in 50 gallon buckets. Small batch! The Orange vodka come from hand zested peels that are marinated in sleeves to infuse flavor. In the pictures you can see the filtering machine.
So since this trip was gin, they said its made in 40 gallon batches. They have two types, artesian and traditional. The traditional is juniper forward London dry. The artesian is lower proof. There is a huge difference.
All of this is done in the main warehouse. See pictures . You will see the bottling, capping, sealing and boxing. Its amazing the amount of production in such a small footprint.

They have an 1876 bourbon and one thats cask aged. Go for the cask!

Thank you for your thorough review and for your visit to our distillery! We truly couldn't stay small batch and do what we loved without the support of loyal customers like yourself. Be sure to stop back in and say hello the next time you're in Dripping Springs!

Almost missed this place but glad we turned back around. Entered and greeted nicely by the assistant and the lady doing the tasting. She was so knowledgeable about all the liquor. We had drinks and bought several bottles. All good.

Thank you for your review and for making us a part of your trip. We are weeks away from installing a huge water tower, which we're pretty confident will take care of so many people "almost missing us." Haha. Hopefully, you'll choose to come visit us again next time you're in town!

This distillery is physically smaller than a few I've been through but it was interesting to see how a company this size does business. The tour was short but interesting, the guide clearly knew his industry. I did enjoy how they did the tasting. They are about to build a massive new plant/visitor's center so by this time next year I'd wager it will be cool.

Thanks for the review and for stopping in to see us! We are indeed building a new visitor's center that construction is now underway on, so definitely come back and visit us. We're anticipating that is should be open to the public by late summer/early fall 2020. We'll definitely announce the opening on all of our socials and website when we have a concrete date!

Great distillery. The tasting was FREE with our Dripping With Taste passport (great investment!!) and included 3 vodkas, 2 gins, and 2 bourbons. I adore bourbon (and these were very good & exceptional, respectively), but the gins and vodkas were also very good. Tasting hostess was very knowledgeable and personable, and tour was ok but limited because they were in full bottling production mode. Glad we visited—taking bottles home!
