I have been a helicopter pilot myself for over 20 years (both military and civilian) but have never been able to take my kids up in a helicopter. I had the opportunity to do this with D-Tour Aviation. With my experience I take helicopter operations very serious. Chad is very professional in his knowledge and piloting skills. I was extremely impressed with the helicopter and the condition that he maintains it. If you want to have a fun and safe experience seeing the Hill Country from a view very few do, I highly recommend a flight with D-Tour Aviation.

The family had a GREAT time with Chad and D-Tour Aviation. Chad is an entertaining person and a safe pilot. The service was top notch and the views are beautiful. We will definitely be up, up and away again.

This is a must do while in the Hill Country! East to book, first class helicopter, great pilot! Check out the wine country and Enchanted Rock from the sky!

My wife and I took a tour for our anniversary over the beautiful Texas hill country. It was an awesome experience. The tour operator, Chad was very accommodating and made sure it was a memorable trip. Looking forward to another tour.

Had an awesome experience taking a tour with D-Tour Aviation. The owner is very professional. I recommend for couples and families to be able to experience the views and lights from above. It is well worth the money. Saw cool Christmas lights..

Tinder not working out so well? ChristianMingle just not cutting it? Grindr not satisfying your animalistic needs? Have you tried picking her up in a helicopter??
It literally does not matter how lame, ugly, and unsuccessful you may be (or a combination of the aforementioned), D Tour Aviation will get you laid. Whether it's just a photo opportunity with his helicopter for your Myspace profile, or a grand sunset tour of Austin, Chad will make it happen.
Now, on a more serious note. My girlfriend was visiting from out of state, and I wanted an opportunity to show her the city, without all the hassles of driving through downtown - traffic, crowds, getting bum rushed, etc. I found Chad through a mutual friend who recommended D Tour's services. After a short phone conversation discussing rates and availability, I had locked in my first heli tour. We met at D Tour Aviation's pickup location where we were graciously welcomed and briefed by Chad on the rules of the helicopter. We took off just before sundown and flew over Hill Country and the lakes before doing a tour of Austin as the sun set.
The experience was supreme. Chad took his time to show us all around and never hesitated to slow down if we wanted to see more of an area. Chad's piloting skills were impressive and made the flight smooth and comfortable.
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone - it's truly sensational. Make sure you bring your camera.

Let me start off by saying this was a trip of a lifetime. My wife and I moved to the hill country near dripping springs tx about 2 yrs ago. We love traveling around to the small towns and seeing what this beautiful state has to offer. So after several months of driving around and seeing these amazing views I was always telling her that I would love to experience more of this awesome landscape. So we decided to contact chad Varnell the owner and pilot of D-tour aviation . It was the best call we ever made, we met him at his house a few miles outside of dripping springs and he was waiting on us with the chopper in plain view. That's when my stomach got alittle tight, but after meeting chad and talking for a few minutes there was no doubt this man knew what he was doing. He was very kind and patient with us as we had lots of questions. He answered them all to the fullest and after going over all the details and the safety of this lifetime event we were about to experience my wife and I were very calm and felt very safe. We both agreed safety is his number one issue. Not to mention his chopper is second to none it was 101 degrees outside but a nice cook 73 in the chopper you could tell by his equipment and character that chad does not take any short cuts when it comes to taking care and maintaining his chopper. Needless to say it was a trip my wife and I will never forget and are going to make it a yearly thing. Also his prices are extremely reasonable !! So with all that being said if you are wanting to see the great state of Texas and the beautiful hill country from 2000 feet above or just trying to impress someone I highly recommend you give chad Varnell with D-Tour aviation a call I promise it will exceed any and all of your expectations!

This is the best way to see the hill country!!!!!!! You can see so much in a short period of time. We left Dripping Springs and went over the lake then headed to Enchanted Rock for the sunset.

We had a great time. More exciting than I could have ever imagined. The view was amazing. Will definitely do it again real soon. Chad was a great host.
