About
We strengthen the Texas Woman's University education by connecting our community to information and library services in a historic building. We are home to the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) national archives at Texas Woman’s University. The growing collection is available for viewing and research as part of the Woman’s Collection. The archives include documents, reports, trainee handbooks, military records and artifacts which catalog the experimental program between 1942 and 1944 when women trained and flew while enlisted in the Armed Forces of America.

Start on the square. Get a good meal and shop. Then get a good quiet walk. Start at the TWU Police office for a parking pass. Go to visitor parking at TWU. Walk around the library. Go inside for the displays and the WASP exhibit and rotunda.

Then walk from the library to the pond, and the Little Chapel. Rest on a bench. Nearby TWU dining usually starts by 5. If dinner is available at the TWU Union basement, spend a few dollars for a solid budget buffet. Non-students welcome.

Easiest way to spend a pleasant afternoon in Denton.

This library has collections only found here, and a good selection of other resources as well. The library is cheery and bright, and a good place to meet, study and relax.

Everything about this place invites you to feel at ease when you work. There is solid WiFi. There is a Starbucks at the front door. You can eat and drink in the library. There is a variety of furniture to suit your needs and mood. There are windows! There are power outlets - but look for one before you plant.

TIP Park on N Austin Ave or E Third Street to stay away from restricted parking.

This library is located on the campus of Texas Woman’s University, and was a short drive from my hotel. It’s three stories high and has marble floors and chandeliers. They had a small display on the work and life of Florence Nightingdale, which I was happy to share with my son. It makes for nice touristy photos, with a background prop equivalent to the Vatican or a state capitol.

Going into this library is a treat. Marble, chandeliers, rotunda, museum, art, and it's a college library. Amazing.

First rate university library in beautiful surroundings. Everything one could possibly need for information technology can be found here, from copies to meeting spaces.

Throughout the library there are exhibits about the role women have played in history. 2 years ago there was a collection of nurses' uniforms. This year there was a display of military uniforms and the roles that women who have served in the Air Force have played. There were several wedding dresses on display and some pictures of weddings in the Little Chapel .
There is a Starbucks on the first floor.

I am a TWU alum, so my review may be biased. But this is such a beautiful library. It has 3 levels along with a basement level that holds a children's library section. The third floor is for quiet studying and reading. They now have a Starbucks on the first floor, so you don't have to leave the library while studying. They have a very extensive cookbook collection. My only wish is that it was bigger.

It's got a great collection, but frankly even if you don't want to check out a book or do any research, it's a building well worth seeing. Gorgeous!
