Strangeways is a bit of a dive bar, but has outdoor seating and ample room indoors. The draft list has about 40 items, and care has been taken to make sure the flavor of the brews are preserved. The cask of Jesterking Witchmaker was quite a pleasant surprise. The staff and clientele were very friendly and informative. My husband and I have driven over to Strangeways from Shreveport a few times now and it has always been worth the trip. The tap selection isn't enormous (30-40), but the beers are all solid. The bottle selection is pretty darn impressive too. We were able to find St. Arnold Bishop's Barrel #7 this past weekend and I could lots of other impressive bottles in the coolers as well. The food is fantastic too. We recommend the tamales and the torta (my personal favorite). The plantain chips are fantastic too! It is in an interesting part of town. It kind of adds to the magic of the place, in my opinion. We will back!…
