My guy and I traveled from Arkansas to Dallas to attend this wonderful concert. Our ticket prices were average, we managed to select great seats, the concession stand was good, and the lighting and sound and stage were great! A truly remarkable concert experience. It appeared to be an almost sold out concert, we saw very few empty seats, so nearly 21,000 in attendance. The escalators moved ticket holders quickly to their section, row, and seats. Ditto for departure following the concert. It really didn't take very long to be out the front door of this venue. Just a great venue for events!

What's the deal with not accepting cash anymore? Must take away from tips for the underpaid concession workers. Don't give the covid reason for that either. That's a downfall of this place.
Atmosphere is great. Dallas fans are an all right bunch.
Clean stadium compared to some others I've seen. Feels like a hotel lobby on the ends of the stadium. Friendly staff everywhere it seemed.
We saw the Stars play the Leafs. Same old season ticket holder long timers ball busting us for cheering for the visiting team, but that's fine in sports as long as there are no threats or physical altercations.
Beers are $10-13 depending where you get them. That's like $100 for us Canadian folk, ehhhh?
We sat 4 rows up from the glass. For those wondering this is a bit TOO low for a view of the other end. Especially when clueless people are standing while the play is going. Buddy wearing the Radulov jersey next to the Dallas bench was entertaining for us, chucking water bottles against the glass in disgust and rattled by poor refereeing. All the ice girls are 10's for all you p-vert types.
Good location. Fairly safe atmosphere around the stadium at night as long as the crowds exist as far as I could tell.

The building from the outside is absolutely beautiful! We were in town for NHL's Winter Classic and attended Lynyrd Skynyrd's final Dallas concert while in town. Once we were in the doors, everything went downhill. The walkway inside is too small and crowded. The event staff is too limited to accommodate large crowds. I don't know if it's just that we're from Nashville and Nashville knows how to throw large events and we're spoiled or if Dallas is really lacking. The food was good but very expensive for such a venue.

Amercan Airlines Center now offer legalized ticket scalping. I have had the misfortune of buying tickets for Bruce Springsteen and ELO and both times, they will not allow you to find your seats in pairs, their bot forces you to buy three together. If you don't, the bot closes down and you have to go to another higher price set of tickets. This clearly should not be legal for it forces you to spend the most amount of money for tickets in the sections you want. I have always disliked Ticket Master since the days when tickets were already sold or given away before you stood in line for hours to get your tickets. Now they have a nice program that squeezes the money out of the customer so they will make every penny they can. How frustrating to spend 20 minutes jumping from section to section trying to find the best price, only for them to close it and raise the price on you. Two tickets to Springsteen almost cost $1000.

The American Airlines Center is good for sports games as it is huge in size. We went to watch the Dallas Stars play and for hockey I would definately recommend sitting in one of the higher rows as from there you can see the whole rink and don’t have to go back and forth. The stairs are very steep however so I probably wouldn’t recommend it if you have a fear of heights.

Attended the Gabriel Iglesias show tonight, security when multiple people complain of men being drunk and disruptive, being loud where you cannot hear the show, jumping around in their seats banging into people , spilling drinks on people so much so that you bring the lady next to them a T-shirt to wear … You finally ask them to come with you the entire section cheered .. then you let them come back??? What.. We paid 40$ to park over 300$ in ticket prices 60$ in food 80$ in merch and they got to stay? We left.

My first visit to American Airlines Center in Dallas to see the Eagles. this is a well designed event center for large crowds. Multiple entrance and exit points makes crowd flow quick, safe and easy to navigate. Plenty of close parking as well. Multiple bars and food booths catering to different tastes. Bathroom lines were short with multiple locations spread throughout the facility. Acoustics for music were acceptable. I would definitely go to this location again.

Home of the Dallas Mavericks. Parking around AAC can be costly and tricky to find. Expect to pay $35 at the closer parking lots. Beer, wine and alcohol is sold at this venue.

Lexus level (200 level) is phenomenal. The seating is well thought up and the food on the 200 level is a huge step above most other stadium food. They had pulled pork nachos that I had to try, and they do not skimp on the meat and cheese! The souvenir drink cups aren't too expensive but also not overly big. The flow of the crowds wasn't great on the main level which led to us staying on our 200 level most of the time. The bathrooms were clean, which is amazing for a sporting event. All in all, this is a great stadium for a game!

Huge venue. The ushers were very professional and quick in the check in and check out process. The Venue is beautiful. Food and drink - expensive but that is to be expected at any stadium.
No photography is allowed during the show.
I went for the John Mulaney show on Friday - March 25, 2022. The venue was packed. Audio-visual aids were fantastic.
Really enjoyed my time at this venue.

Does anyone have experience with the gold garage that supposedly has underground access to the arena? Curious to see if there is easy access to grab dinner in victory plaza before a game or if elevators only take you up inside the arena.

I have platinum tix to an upcoming game...I saw something about parking included with the ticket...is that the case?
Written January 16, 2020
You need to call them to be sure you go to the correct garage. However, trafficis terrible afterwards. Suggest to walk a few blocks, maybe Ficks last resort. Or house of Blues, have a drink and uber pick you up...

What is the temperature inside the building during concerts? It’s 95 degrees outside so I don’t know if I’ll need a sweater!
Written September 20, 2019
It’s very nice temp. Not hot at all....not cold either.
Even If it’s a concert where people tend to stand and dance at their seats, the temps never got warm inside.

Can I bring a regular size purse to American Airlines Center, or does it have to be a clear purse like for NFL games?
Written February 20, 2019
You can bring a regular purse however every purse gets inspected and you also go through a metal detector.

For the Stars NHL games, is there restaurant seating where you can see the game for single game purchase?
Written December 28, 2018
If you get seats on the club level, there’s a restaurant area and bar and they provide a server to your seat area so you can order food/concessions from your seats. Those should be the 200 level tickets, but check the AA website to be sure. The seats on that level all have good views (it’s the same level as the suites).

This is what I found on the American Airlines Ctr website. Keep in mind that this is a event venue and not an airport.
"The AmericanAirlines Arena requests that guests arrive early and travel light, as all guests and bags entering the AmericanAirlines Arena are subject to search. Only fanny packs, purses and clear plastic bags 14” x 14”x 6” or smaller, will be permitted into the Arena."

coming for a Overcomer Tour with David Jeremiah on tuesday, Oct 2. what is the best parking?
Written September 29, 2018
I would strongly disagree with the suggestion to hop on Dart without paying. I personally ride it quite a bit and regularly see Dart officers checking for tickets!! I would never take such a huge risk to skip out on paying the nominal fee to ride. Plus, it’s just plain ol’ WRONG to utilize a public system without paying your fair share to keep it running.
