I stayed on Greenville Avenue. I would recommend for people looking to get a quick bite or do some fun stuff within walking distance. We were able to get around very easy and if something was far, it was really easy to just grab an Uber and go down to lower Greenville. Great place to stay at.

Just spent a lovely afternoon walking lower Greenville from Ross to Mockingbird, and back. Had a tasty lunch at Sundown at Granada and enjoyed a beautiful sunny spring day. Trendy area with tons of restaurants, vintage clothing shops, coffee and pastry shops…all bordered by gorgeous tree-lined streets of stately early 20th century homes.

There are two parts of this street - low Greenville and upper Greenville. The low Greenville is well known for night life with a lot of fun places to meet and eat. There are some small funky shops as well. Upper Greenville is daily ordinary street with business offices, large stores, fast food eating places. The bottom line, the area between Ross Ave. and Mockingbird Lane is for fun!

There are a fun mix of bars, restaurants and local shops scattered along this ecclectic street in this charming neighborhood full of awesome craftsmanstsyle homes. It's fun to experience all of Lower Greenville, starting just south of Mockingbird all the way down to Ross Avenue. I suggest slowly hopping your way through all three major clumps of bars, restaurants and shops. It's not very long - only about 1.6 miles total.
Make sure to stop by Sundown at the Granada for happy hour or to hear a concert going on nextdoor at the Granada, then grab a dessert to-go at Unrefined Bakery. Eat real Tex-Mex at either Gloria's or Blue Goose, then sip cocktails on the Terrilli's rooftop while sitting around the firepit, then go across the street for a cold Guiness at the Dubliner. If you want a nicer date night, stay at Terrilli's, or go to the Grape or St. Martin's Wine Bistro but make reservations!! If you're in the mood to shop, stop at Jack Retro before going to the last section of Lower Greenville which is the busiest section with shops, restaurants and bars. Just hop around all of those places and you'll be a happy camper. HGSply is great for a healthy option to eat.

There are good restaurants and businesses in the area, but for me the parking hassle is not usually worth the trip.

Lots of beer and restaurants in this trendy area. Parking can be difficult but valet parking is offered in some places. This is a very popular area.

That area of Greenville avenue has been rebuild including planting trees, grass and bushes along the sideways. We had a nice sunday walking around this area.

Does this area offer a food tour? If so, what time? What days? What is the cost?

I am not aware of one. Every bartender and wait person we have met as well as patrons were very helpful with tips on neighboring bars and restaurants,
It seems all businesses support each other which is really refreshing.
