I am not sure what course the previous reviewer played but the Royal Oaks I played was simply magnificent and challanging. Yes, the course is located in a flood plain but I am not sure why that matters? The bent greens are amazingly smooth and run true. The membership is a who's who of Dallas best golfers including: Justin Leonard, Harrison Frazar, David Ferehty, Colt Nost and many many others. Royal Oaks also has Randy Smith, one of the most highly decorated PGA professionals. Like I said, if you want a severe challange on a beautiful course buddy up to a member at Royal Oaks because you will not be dissappointed.

The staff is outstanding , I have the honor of having Randy Smith as a golf instructor, I am not a member but have been treated like a member every time I have gone. The course is one of the best kept courses in Dallas and United states. I visit and play at many TPC courses and Country clubs around Texas and Royal Oaks is like Playing with the Tour Players Every time, The course is simply the Best there is because Royal Oaks is simply the best you can have. The Food and Presentation is one of the things I look forward to.The members are like Family and really do care about others in the club, BUT what I saw the most was the Clubs Love and Giving to others in the community , That is real Class

I was a guest of Bill and Diana Winkleman for dinner at the Royal Oaks Country Club.
What an enjoyable evening. The staff was so accommodating. The service was excellent and the band for entertainment was easy listening. We started off our meal with a martini that was shaken perfectly. It still had the ice crystals floating on top. For a snack, the club makes their own seasoned nut and chex mix to nibble on while you enjoy your cocktails. The wedge salad was large enough for two people. It was topped off with applewood smoked bacon and fried onion strings. The blue cheese dressing and crumbles were very good. A basket of assorted hot breads was served with the salad. We shared our plates that consisted of a grilled steak, the almond trout and the grilled salmon. Presentation was lovely and the food was perfectly prepared. The HG3 wine was spectacular with our meal. It was a lovely evening dining indoors, but do note that outside dining is also available near the golf course.

Very over rated golf course. Flood plain mudville with some of the worst bent grass greens in Dallas. Check out Lakewood CC or Brook Hollow CC for some really great golf!

The best golf course in Dallas county. Great for families with tons of events, great pool, indoor / outdoor tennis, gym, multiple restaurants, and the best practice facility in Texas.

This club has become a senior center for grouchy old men. I cancelled my membership. Don't waste your money.

Had a great meal while at the DSC monthly meeting. Nice folks to great you and give good directions . Thought the meal for a large group was pretty good. It is a nice oasis in a part of town that has some edges to it. Good place for fun and social.
