This is a free service that was just so fun. We had wonderful conductors, who were friendly and seemed to LOVE their jobs. We rode on a pleasant day and windows were wide open on the trolley. I am so glad we took the time to ride the trolley and see the sights. The Uptown area was diverse and lovely.... More

If you are not really sure where to start your visit, try the McKinney Avenue Trolley. It is free and you can hop on and off whenever you want, including the Dallas Art Museum and the shops at McKinney.

I would like to start with an advice. take the DART rail to downtown Dallas, we did and it was awesome. The rail cost about 5 dollars per day, but its worth it. the trolley stops about half a block from the station and you can jump in it. it is FREE and it will take you part of downtown... More

I was in France once taking the tram, and they said, "You don't have these in the U.S." - and I said, "Oh yes we do, and in Dallas, you can ride them free of charge." This is really a fun way to get around town. Don't miss the experience, if you're just visiting!

You cannot go wrong with a free ride around uptown. It is a great way to see your dining and drinking options, without fighting traffic while driving around.

Great service and it is free. Took it downtown to uptown. Drivers and helpers were all great to be around and very courteous. Cars have been restored well and there are plenty of stops. Use the live tracker!

My girls loved this when they were little. Their route has grown since then and I've had the pleasure of riding it often. It just feels fun! You can get off if something looks interesting and hop back on the next go around.

Neat way to travel the area. No need to worry about multiple car parking nightmares. No need to worry about idiots pulling out in front of you. We have met people from all over the world while riding the trolley. I recommend that you do not ride during the heart of summer...July, August namely. You could melt into a cuddle... More

Free trolley around Dallas. Several stops, on and off. Old time trolleys was a nice site to see. You can ride the entire line and takes about an hour.

The MAT is the best way to get up and down McKinney Avenue, especially from Klyde Warren Park. With the newest extension, you can travel very close to downtown, all the way to the end of the line near Central Expressway. Each trolley has its history posted onboard. Even though it is free to ride, be sure to put a... More

This was my experience yesterday with a very, rude operator, I wonder if the conductor you had was ZACK?

The following occurred on August 6, 2015, trolley #754, and we arrived at the Main McKinney Station, where we exited at 8:43pm, and ZACH was the conductor along with another young, male conductor:

ZACK, our VERY YOUNG, male, operator and his young male companion, who also was on the trolley that my family and I, including YOUNG CHILDREN who were visiting from out-of-town, were in fear for our lives!! This young, male, full of testosterone was speeding and honking CONSTANTLY at EVERY pedestrian and car around us. I have lived in Uptown for 13 years and have been on the trolley a few times, prior to this incident...and THIS TIME, We were in fear for our safety and for the safety of all the other passengers inside the trolley...and for all the pedestrians and surrounding cars with people. We are in the process of not only complaining to the trolley company, we are also complaining to the Transportation Division 214.670.3161, with operators like ZACK, it's just a matter of time before someone seriously GETS HURT if not KILLED!!! I've read the other complaints, and it's obvious that there's a serious problem with SOME of the conductors!!! There are no seat belts, and this young, kid ZACK was SPEEDING!! Stay away, or if you like risking the safety of your loved ones, at least make sure you and your families lives are not in the hands of a YOUNG, HOT-HEADED MALE KID!! Please complain to ALL the appropriate authorities when you have an issue with this trolley company!!! When I asked (ZACK) for his name after we decided we chose to end our ride at the FIRST NEXT STOP... ZACK was VERY RUDE, and sarcastic to me, and told me that I could complaint to anyone that I wanted to, and yelled his name at me. This is unacceptable!!
