We stopped here to complete our afternoon after visiting the Dallas World Aquarium. We found Fair Park easy enough to get to, and the free parking lot was convenient to this and also the nearby Children’s Aquarium (reviewed separately). Admission was a bit high for...More

Lovely grounds to picnic and explore, but the real winner is the Butterfly House! Such a neat experience, and great for adults AND kids! It is climate controlled, and a bit humid inside the butterfly house, so be prepared! Definitely a fun, and low cost...More

We visited Texas Discovery Gardens on our way through Dallas in September. What an amazing place! We spent 3 to 4 hours, including picnic lunch on the grounds, with our five kids aged 2 through 9. By far the Butterfly House is the best, and...More

We went to this location to visit the butterfly exhibit (a glass greenhouse of sorts where beautiful butterflies hatched from imported chrysalises are released). However, I was pleasantly surprised by the...More

Beautiful gardens and butterfly habitat. It was under some construction, but still very accessible. Knowledgeable and courteous staff. Some in our group did a butterfly release, which was fun to watch and photograph. We all had a wonderful time!

My husband and I spent way too short a time photography the many, many plants and butterflies in this fantastic space. Dress comfortably (it is humid), bring extra film/SD cards, and be prepared to be patient.

It's great to visit the garden on 'Pay whatever you wish' Tuesday. We went to see the release of the butterflies. The secret garden was very pretty.

March is still early for the garden to be in full bloom but the overall structure of the garden is lovely and the butterfly conservatory is gorgeous.
