Not Local produce. The Dallas Market definitely has its place but other venues now serve local produce, and are better at that need. Here I find a lot of merchandise that looks like a craft fair. Community now caters to young hip people who don't have to care about walking far just to park. And I don't drink alcohol so there is that.

Thank you for coming out to visit us and taking the time to share your experience. We are dedicated to providing fresh local produce to our community and bringing the best handcrafters and artisans to The Shed. While this is a change from the wholesale produce once found at the market, we feel it is a change in the right direction and we stand by our local farmers and ranchers.
I hope you come again and try some of the fresh, delicious produce and meats our Texas farmers and ranchers bring to The Shed!

Ginzaro has the freshest tasting sashimi and sushi I have had in a long time. Enjoyed the mackeral appetizer and Sashimi Bento Box, which came with super fresh salmon, white fish and tuna. The contents of the box not only tastes delicious, it arrives looking like a work of art, complete with an edible flower. Owner Kenneth Choe, takes your order which arrives very promptly and he is a gracious host. If you love sushi, as John Lithgow says in the Progresso Soup commercials: "You simply MUST taste it." Check out their on-ilne menu, and you can either order to go, or dine at the bar. Plan to return again soon to try more items on the menu - there are many, many things to choose from and very reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed - I promise.

We had a great time! The iced tea stand and beignets were delicious! We started at the shed and purchased items from local vendors, then store fronts and finally the inside area where we ate lunch. Parking on the weekend is tough, just be patient. We went back again on a weekday and parking was much easier. Everyone was so happy and friendly. Also the live music was a bonus! Would definitely visit again!

The farmers market is so cute . Inside we had boba drinks , macaroons, boogie super good apple cinnamon mimosas , seafood and amazing bento box from the sushi stand , ( kids loved the marble drinks from him) , pizza for the kids , ice cream , Mexican food ( this one was just ok) delicious seafood and elote. All mixed in with cute gifts, candles, soaps , the funniest shirts ever . It's a great time to walk around kill time and look at everything . Not the greatest for toddlers but adults and older kiddos it's great for . If you were driving to this parking looked extremely limited.

Part of our tour of Dallas, we stopped here for 30 minutes. The place was buzzing, albeit a little too crowded for my liking, however as it's ONLY open on a Saturday & Sunday, quite understandable.
Amazing stalls, a unique vibe inside and a fantastic opportunity to purchase unique souvenirs of your trip to Texas.
The downside was the expensive prices for a lot of items that put many off.
However, I'm glad we visited this one-off place.

We were looking for a real farmers market with local farmers, etc. We found this through an Internet search but we weren't convinced it was a real farmers market because it's open 7 days a week. However, we were pleasantly surprised with our visit. It's a great farmer's market and we visited during late Winter. Lots of neighborhood vendors with all kinds of food and products. A little crowded and there were probably only half as many vendors compared to Summer or Fall but it was still enjoyable.

Thank you for visiting and for your feedback. We are glad you had a nice surprise and were able to shop the local produce and great local vendors. The produce and vendors change seasonally so we hope you come back and see what is new in The Shed.

It’s quite a walk from the city centre and the range of foods is a little disappointing. Dallas is a wonderful city but this experience is a little underwhelming. Anybody who has been to similar venues in Barcelona and Lisbon will be disappointed.

Before Dallas Farmers Market PR team tries to come in saying “you must have gone on a weekday”, no. It was today, a Saturday.
If you plan to go here looking for actual fruits, vegetables, or farm products you are going to be sorely disappointed. There are exactly 3 vendors of fresh produce and they all carry the same 7 things; no variety whatsoever. The remaining 97% of vendors sell either jelly, candles, or organic dog biscuits.
What they have done to this once thriving market should be criminal. There used to be three HUGE open-air covered tents each as long as a football field, all filled with various fresh farm products. Those have all been torn down and replaced with an indoor food and bar pavilion (think Dallas Alley but somehow even less cool) and one open air tent like structure half the size of a football field that housed three produce vendors. I guess Dallas sold the land to a bunch of apartment developers. Crap like this is why people say Dallas has no soul.

I can remember when this was actually a "Farmers Market". It is now merely a food court with artisan booths. We found only 3 local produce booths. It is now surrounded by condo/apartments, you pay to park. EVERYTHING is over priced! It was a complete waste of 1 hour that I will never get back. You would think that Dallas could actually have a true Farmers Market. If you are looking for a real 'Farmers Market', stay away from this place.

Hi! It sounds like you may have visited on a weekday when our artisan shops in The Market are open. Texas farmers, ranchers, and artisan vendors fill The Shed every Saturday and Sunday with verified locally grown produce.

Not sure if it is worth going on a weekday as only the indoor areas are open. On the weekends, the outdoor fruit and vegetable stands are open, so I am sure that is a better experience. We were taken here on a 20 minute break on the 3-hr Fun Dallas Tour. It is about 2 dozen shops (half of them for eat/drink). Certainly attractive on the inside. I got a great iced Italian coffee at Palmieri.

We are going the first weekend in February, are they open? Do we have to pay an admission fee? Since we have a rental car, is there parking or should we take Public transportation? Thank you in advance!!
