What can you say about a large cavernous building ? Since this facility tends to attract large attendance, travel and parking are a consideration. Travel around Dallas via car is typical big city traffic wrangling although better for a few years since $$$$ is always being spent on road highway expansion ... until growth catches up again. The Convention Center... More

Attended the Dallas Safari Club annual convention and trade show. Very impressed with the size of the facility, the friendliness of the workers and the ease of moving about. Lots of restrooms that can be easily located. It does not, however, appear to be located where there is a lot of public parking and for visitors to Dallas, the roads... More

Had to sign up for a run at the convention center and got my first look inside it although I had been here for a conference before. Its very nicely laid out.

first the dallas convention center is massive. the parking is confusing and it took me all four days trying different routes in and out. once parked wear your comfy shoes and you will be hiking to the event. fortunately there is coffee and good starbucks. the hotel cafe and restaurant and assorted restaurants are right outside.

When I am at a conference I like to get outside between sessions and for the times when there is a longer break. This place is not designed for that at all. You walk outside and you're in a covered underpass type thing for cabs and tour buses. There is one grassy area but it is aa the far end... More

Here for a convention. The exhibit hall (on the 2nd floor) is fine. The meeting rooms on the first floor (street level) meant having to go upstairs and then down again to go between different meetings. Some of the meeting rooms are also a bit stark. Did enjoy the meeting rooms on the 3rd floor, they are well done.
