This is a high crime area. I would strongly advise against lingering here after 5:00pm and do not visit on weekends. The lake is completely unsuitable for swimming and generally unpleasant. Extremely bad vibe.

Dallas occasionally struggles with parks, and public space in general, but Bachman Lake is a winner. It's a beautiful place to take a walk or bike ride, a family-friendly community space for the mostly-Hispanic neighborhood, and an attraction for people who like airplanes, all rolled...More

This park has a little of everything. A huge playground park for the kiddos, a huge pond with a pathway to walk on around it. There are also lots of trails. There's some pull up bars, all sorts of good activity to workout and be...More

Backman Lake is right on the edge of Dallas Love Field. If the wind is blowing from the south you will be assaulted by several Southwest Airlines planes and a few others both landing over you head and the noise from the take-offs. Otherwise this...More

99% mexicans, but being next to Dallas Lovefield Airport offers amazing and awfully close views of planes landing. Hot spanish men strutt their stuff if you are into it. This is a nice place but not a must to visit. You will waste time and...More
