This is a GREAT local resource for a city that is somewhat short on local parks. There is an 11 mile jogging/bike trail around the lake that is very patrolled by police (on bikes) it's very family friendly. There are rental spots for SUPs and lots of folks on canoes, kayaks and sailboats. On summer, Thursday nights, many folks paddle... More

Just kayaked with my niece yesterday on this pretty neighborhood lake. Saw lots of wildlife and sailboats. Kayak and paddleboards available for rent. Saw lots of fishermen but no swimming allowed. There is lots of trash on the shorelines in some places that is ugly and smells bad at spots. Didn't take away from our fun, though (much). Beautiful stately... More

This lake is a nice break from the business of the city. There were many biking and walking trails all around. We rented paddleboards but they also have kayaks (single and double) available. The staff is helpful and encouraging (it was my first time to paddleboard). It was so pretty and relaxing. I would definitely recommend.

Lots of great trails to get out on when the weather is nice. There are places to fish, picnic, and just enjoy the outdoors. If it has rained recently, bring shoes that you do not care if they get muddy.

The 9 mile trail around the lake is great for runners, walkers, and bikers. The views are beautiful, and there are lots of places to stop and observe nature. There are water fountains and toilet facilities as well. I recommend going early because the trail can get crowded later in the day.

Defiantly a nice place to stretch those legs of yours with some lovely scenery. It gets a bit crowded during the weekends but still a nice place to exercise!
