We spent many a summer at White Rock Lake Park for picnics, Frisbee, walking and more. A friend from upstate commented that White Rock Lake Park was our (Dallas') Central Park. And I more than agree. We love and are proud of our White Rock Lake!

Love the lake, been kayaking here several times and it is awesome. Feels like you are not in the city anymore... I just bought a Kayak of my own and White Rock lake is first on my list of places to get out on the water. Great walking, and nature watching.

Hands down, this is my "happy place" whether I'm walking, running, biking or just passing by the lake. I've only been on the water a couple of times. It's the best place to relax and get away from the rush of city life!

I am here almost everyday to go walking, biking or just to watch an amazing sunset. This has to be one of Dallas best outdoor assets. Plan to spend a couple of hours here. You can also rent Kayaks. Close to the Dallas Arboretum too.

White Rock Lake and it's many parks is the crown jewel of Dallas. There are unlimited pleasures to be found there. First, it is located in the heart of our big city, and close to the Arboretum, the wonderful eating places in Casa Linda and the lake is easily accessed by a variety of main thoroughfares. Sunsets are spectacular. Picnic... More

Doesnt get much better than a lake in the city, with a bike trail, dog park, sail boats, canoe rentals, and people enjoying the day!

Are you a fishing fanatic like me? This is the lake and my favorite place in town to fish. White rock lake is amply stocked with large-mouth bass. You'll need to bring your own gear but there is ample parking, beautiful views, friendly people, public restrooms, and courtesy docks. If you are coming to fish I'd suggest taking Fisher Rd.... Many years ago the City of Dallas had a chance to develop this lake for retail. They didn't and in not doing so created the most serene place in Dallas. My favorite place in town to ride a bike, kayak, paddleboard, walk, run, read a book, fly a kite, and escape the hectic city for a few hours. There is... More

We had pictures taken here, and the park as a backdrop really enhanced them. There are lots of trails for bikes and runners, and the dog park looked spacious. It is a beautiful place, even in August when most of Texas is dry and brown.
