Very popular with families, runners, cyclists and doggie folks, this lake also offers sailing opportunities and an old bathing house now used to display art. The botanical gardens are nearby and a must see if you love beautiful gardens with water displays and lake views.

Maybe not so hidden. To have one of the largest urban lakes right up the street is amazing. While only a few miles from downtown when you are there you feel as though you are far away from any city. The lake has a pretty...More

Love Biking, jogging, and kayaking white rock lake. This lake is so much fun if you like being outdoors. The only thing that makes me sad is that there is always so much water pollution :(

I don’t think so. Swimming & alcohol is not allowed. Tried to contact a guy who works there, but he was on patrol. The liability for allowing grilling is too great, & not everyone is careful with fire, etc. Good luck!
