When we got to the museum the man at the entrance gave us a run down of what to see on what floor which was really nice. The museum has a wide range of art from areas across the globe and it is laid out in an easy to follow design. There was a good variety in types of art... More

This DMA gallery has a very interesting mix of art forms. I been here a couple of times and impressed with the buildings design and the art it houses. There's a very nice outdoor space that's also part of the plan. I've seen grand masters, Rodin, Picasso's and contemporary artists. It's a beautify mix of art, architecture and landscape design... We didn't have a ton of time, but we enjoyed the art and the interactive creation area. It's a great place for art lovers of all ages.

The DMA is right across the street from Klyde Warren Park, and about 5 blocks north of the Sheraton. Their regular exhibits are impressive, but they also have special exhibits that come through. They also have special events on certain Thursday and Friday evenings during the month, which are free. You may want to check ahead online to see what's... More

This is a very underrated collection. Thanks to donations from local corporations the museum has expanded their collection, the top floor with the ancient pieces is outstanding, and, even better, it's free to the public. I would still visit the Perot museum or Dallas world aquarium ahead of it, but add it to your time in Dallas.

This is a great museum, especially with children. Different rooms with artistic activities according to various age groups. A great sculpture garden as well. While I visited the Jackson Pollock exhibit was ongoing.

What a treat! We went to see Pollock. Have been waiting for this. What a treat for the eyes and mind. We learned so much about Jackson Pollock. There is tons to do! Lots for free Artists can create their own, and the public can watch it happen Lots of rotating special events, all worth checking out

Free!!! A great way to introduce your family to true artistic masterpieces. Went there on a whim for about an hour or so with my four sisters, and we had a blast. So much stuff there we could've easily stayed the day. Especially in the interactive room where you could put your own spin on things and feel like a... More

What I love about US museums is that they're free. I had only an hour so quickly ran to the post-Impressionism era and the Wendy and Emery Reves collection upon recommendation from the volunteer at the front door when I told him I was interested in post-Impressionism. He was a wealth of information! There were a couple of special exhibits... More

Friday after Thanksgiving we went to the DMA to see the International Pop special exhibit. We were clearly not the only ones and presumably the other people know something we don't. After all such a well-known museum is exhibiting these pieces, but I would like to understand what definition of art they are using. Not mine. We did very much... More
