This is not your normal charter bus. Our custom- configured coaches contain only 22 first-class seats versus the 56 seats of a same-size charter bus. That difference creates what the airlines lack – personal space and legroom. Vonlane travelers enjoy daily departures, ample work space, complimentary Wi-Fi, extended seat recline, and exceptional attendant service. We have daily departures from Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Atlanta, Nashville, and Memphis.

DO NOT PURCHASE SEAT 7C. This is the only seat that is subject to be turned backwards. I purchased this seat as a forward facing seat and Vonlane called me LESS than 24 hours before the trip to alert me that they my seat was now rear facing. As someone who gets severely motion sick, I would have never purchased something facing the back of the bus. Thankfully, the kind man who was now facing me was willing to switch, but the customer service was subpar at best. There's a trick to booking seats, I would steer clear of the back of the bus incase your seat gets turned into a conference table rear facing seat.

I love Vonlane BUT the way they handled an issue with the tire was extremely lacking!

CAMPBELL YOU ARE THE MVP!!!!

I was stuck in the middle of nowhere (past Corsicana) since 4:30pm to about 8:40pm. It was NOT thanks to vonlane that our bus was able to get the broken tire fix. It is was thanks to a passenger that kept calling the different tire-repair services until one came to help us out! Thank you so much to our driver and to our attendant, they kept calm and happy in a terrible situation.

Corporate Vonlane...you have disappointed me and 24+ other passenger for the way you handled this situation, but your driver Reggie and attendant Sarah Hope on the 3p.m. from Dallas to Houston on Wednesday November 24th, 2021 deserve MAD props for being amazing in a situation they could NOT control. If I ever see them again, I may actually shed a tear because their service was BEYOND outstanding!!

Confirm Seats Fully Recline

I took a trip from Ft Worth to Austin in September of 2019. I was looking forward to reclining in my seat with my feet up as was advertised on the website. When I boarded my bus and asked where the leg supports were for the seat the attendant told me that this was an older model bus and it did not have leg supporters for fully reclining. The seats were comfortable but did not fully recline. I stated this in my review of the trip with Vonlane and was contacted by a representative asking for details of why I gave a low review. I responded and never heard from the company again. I would not have had a complaint if the seat limitation had been stated up front, but since it was not I felt the advertising was deceptive. This is the only reason for my average review, otherwise, I would have given an excellent rating.

Vonlane "steals" your money if you modify the trip!

When I booked the trip, I immediately tried to modify the seat I was in and it cancelled my trip. When I immediately rebooked the trip I used my credit card assuming, as the web site told me, that my trip was cancelled though that's not what I wanted. Now, customer service is telling me there is no way to get a refund for my first cancellation. They indicated I should have used the credit from the first trip to book the second minutes later. So much for customer service and a seamless way of doing business. Vonlane has just lost a customer for life over a $114 refund that is justly owed to me.

Sick Driver

We took the daily trip from Nashville back to Atlanta Saturday March 4, 2023 and left at 2pm. The trip to Nashville was great. However this trip isn’t the best. The driver seems to be sick and has been coughing up a lung since we left. Covid still looms so it would’ve been nice if he took the day off until he was better or wore a mask to keep from possibly spreading Covid. Luxury service is all in the details.

A great travel option, and I would do it again

We had a romantic weekend scheduled in Austin, and were not excited about flying or driving from Dallas. After talking about it for a long time, we decided to take Vonlane. It was great! Wifi, snacks, very solicitous help, comfortable seats . . and I did not have to drive! They do serve a meal (sandwich, wrap or salad), nothing fancy, but okay for a box lunch. Clean restroom, and no diesel fuel smell. I can see the attraction, and I was very productive going both ways. Did I mention that I did not have to drive? I also thought the price was very fair.

Von Lane beats flying

Dallas to Houston 5star+ service! Houston back to Dallas 3star service.

Not all attendants give same service. Going down we had MULTIPLE offers for snacks AND moist, warm, towels on a tray after our meal (yummy meal choices, btw). You won’t get that on SWA! Plus cheerful, friendly announcement at beginning and end of trip. Return trip service very middling. NO welcome or announcements, Little attention and (sigh) no warm hand towels.

Still, if your schedule allows the bus over a flight- take it. You can also possibly pair transport w Uber or a Turo car rental at your destination. I love the comfort and in-seat plugs for charging. 1st class ride.

Excellent way to travel.

Took the Vonlane bus service from Fort Worth to Houston. Bus was on time to the minute, clean and seats very comfortable. Bus was arrived on schedule. Both drive and attendant were excellent. A very comfortable way to travel and highly recommend.

Wonderful trip

I have used Vonlane several times going to Dallas from Austin. Always on time, not crowded like on a plane and clean, clean restroom. They provide a lot of snacks, not just a package of peanuts and a very good lunch. Seats are very comfortable. Carol

THEY LEFT ME STANDING ON THE CURB, waved bye-bye and kept all my money

The bus was scheduled to depart at 8:00 am. I was standing on the curb at 8:00 am and they would not let me on the bus. The bus driver did have time to roll down his window and say "that's not how it works". Then the bus driver and the attendant waved bye bye as they left me standing there. I called for a refund but was told about the "holiday cancellation policy". I will go back to the Megabus. There is no extra benefit in customer experience for the price difference. Who knows what other policies, procedures, rules, regulations will get you left on the curb or kicked off the bus. Don't bother calling...the girl on the phone will tell you "go ahead and send in your issue but THEY won't change their mind".
