Our visit on Sunday October 7,2018! We arrived around 3pm and my husband and I needed a pleasant quiet place to be together without the hussle and bussle of the city. We went kayaking and laid a blanket out after for a picnic! it was...More

Clear waters. Rocky river and rapids. Just perfect for a two hour trip on the inner tube. It’s a short walk to the river- no more than 200 yards. The Frio is the best river around. We walked through one shallow part. We will return!!

Garner State Park is beautiful, but I will never visit again. We had a very bad experience here and it really all stems from the poor check-in and check-out system. We wasted approximately 4 hours in the process of checking in and out. Instead of...More

Took a camping trip to Garner and it was truly a great experience. Beautiful park where you can hike and swim. The river has rope swings or you can kayak. Definitely hope to go back.

We brought 4 15-year-old girls camping here last week. The temperatures get warm during the daytime, so you spend much of those hours in the water. In the evening, it cools down, and we woke up cool each morning, after sleeping in our tents with...More

I will start by saying this is a State Park, so associated with that is lots of people and short amount of staff to facilitate check in and so on. With that being said, the hiking trails are great. Some more challenging than others but...More

As stated on their website, this park will turn visitors away if they have reached capacity. We arrived at the park around 10:30 AM on a Friday and were admitted. We eagerly tackled the "Old Baldy" Trail for the amazing view at the top. It...More

We had two tents up, and the site next to us had three, so I’m guessing 3 is ok.

It's Texas. The mosquitos are bad everywhere. But, it's not bad if you bring bug spray.
