If you are seated on the lawn area you are outside their licensed area. We arrived to be told that we are on table 12 on the right. There is no table on the right and there is no table 12! If you want a drink you have to go back up the stairs and queue at the bar while having to dodge the waitstaff bringing food out of the kitchen. You have to open the wine yourself after you have ‘left’ the premises. If you buy an overpriced beer they won’t even give you an opener at the bar, you are told there is one in the cutlery container on your table. Guess what, there wasn’t one there! Used a spoon. Either we are just the victims of our archaic licensing laws or the owners don’t want to extend the licensed area. Whatever the reason it’s unacceptable, we came to a restaurant not a bottle shop.
It was a very hot and windy day last Sunday and while it would have been intolerable without the umbrellas, they were poorly secured with the wind and one of them hit right on my wife’s head where she had suffered a head wound early in the week. To their credit they were tied down more securely after we alerted them to the problem.
They was an inadequate amount of staff on what was a very busy day despite the fact that there was no drink table service.
The food was reasonable although the duck breasts and the salmon & prawn brochettes were overcooked.
The live music was nice although it was so windy one of their speakers toppled over.
I would recommend that if you want to go there make sure you are seated on their deck NOT on the lawn!

It was raining and the deck was crowed, back of my chair was up against the table behind me, we couldn’t hear each other speak over the sound of the live band (also on the deck) and the conversation of the large loud table next to us. It was extremely humid as the place was closed up with plastic blinds. The service was poor and the waitress had trouble getting the food to our table due to the amount of people squeezed onto the deck. The staff were obviously stressed, although it was extremely noisy we could still here abusive yelling coming from the kitchen (not the language you would expect from any restaurant let alone one where families were present).
Extremely disappointing.

This was our favourite restaurant. We visited with another couple for a Sunday lunch, having told them what great food there was. Sadly something might have changed in the kitchen from our previous visits.
The Pate had a layer of fat on the top which was impossible to cut because it was so hard. Previously it would cut easily, and be a delicious part of the pate.
The duck was very overcooked and dry, and the filet steaks were stacked with three small pieces on top of each other with a spike through them. Whilst the steak offering looked attractive, with little flowers the eating experience was not there.
The staff were excellent, as always. The ambience was spoiled by a large noisy hen party of young women, each trying to outdo each other as to who could talk loudest...but that's not the restaurant's fault!
We won't be driving 50 minutes again for mediocre food!

Today, my friend and her elderly mother in law & myself visited the winery for lunch.
Beautiful location, delicious food.
Nic, owner/chef and with a bucketful of personality looked after us and was especially kind to the elderly lady who was with us. Nic, your generosity and such a big heart for what you did today will not be forgotten.
Thank you and your staff at the winery.
I highly recommend that visitors and locals enjoy a wine tasting and a meal amongst the vines.

The Ultimate long Lunch for the 4 of us started on a perfect summer like day with Wine Tasting . This was in a cosy, cool, cellar like area under the restaurant decorated in an Alice in Wonderland like theme with great atmosphere to relax in. Our host, one of the owners did a fantastic job presenting several wines and famous well known Cremes . This had the desired effect to put us in the mood for some food to satisfy our appetites upstairs.
We opted to select 4 share platters which covered the needs of our individual likes and they were a great choice enjoyed by all.
Of course some of the tasted wines were also drank with the meal and added to our pleasure.
The sweets menu was another indulgence not to be missed and a perfect ending for a really nice day, indulging ourselves. Finally we had to buy and take home several bottles of great booze for another time.

We had a wonderful day here recently with a large group. We started with the wine tasting, very informative and some interesting wines , Ross was very entertaining and looked after us all afternoon.... the food and service was first class on a busy Sunday. The group mostly had platters and everything was perfect.
An outstanding arvo and a must if your in the Coffs area .... Tony.A

Lovely location for a short coffee break with a dear friend. The cakes/deserts are to die for , the coffee is great and the vines are covered in grapes. You can have lunch on the lawn among the vines or on the spacious deck overlooking the Bellinger River. Highly recommend this place for a wine tasting as well as the generous meals and friendly helpful staff

Food was great. Service not so. 1 waitress calling us 'my love' is not appropriate. Plates left on the table too long. Had to remove ourselves. Another waiter with smart alec replies when simply asking for more paper serviettes or small plates for dessert sharing

Wonderful host - he is very entertaining and they have some great local events on at the venue, so ask them for a programme if you plan to visit the area. The accommodation at Urunga is ideal as it is only a short drive away and transport can be arranged should you wish to try a wine or two. This area is also close to great fishing spots and not far from Bellingen should you wish to visit the markets there held the 3rd Saturday of the month (just check that if you). Urunga has a 9 hole Golf Course which is a bit of fun and exercise!

We visited this winery for lunch based on their online menu. The staff were young and very polite. However, the food on our visit was terrible. We ordered the “blackened prawns with saffron aioli and fire roasted pimento” ($29) The dish was 6 prawns costed in a tasteless deep fried breadcrumbs/ batter concoction (see picture) that resembled doggy doo doo. They were inedible, we didn’t eat them. The 6 raw oysters were listless, not fresh, they clearly had been sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. Ate 2, left the rest. The seared scallops (29) were very average. My wife said the Arancini balls ($22) were ok. We eat out quite a bit and have eaten at many wineries. I can honestly say the food here is very average for a winery. Nice location though.
