We recently had 3 wonderful days here on the ranch. My partner and I stayed in the Sunday house which is perfect for couples, it's one bed, one bath and spacious living room & kitchen. We went horseback riding and also did some shooting, the staff were really friendly and helpful. It was so lovely to be around all the... More

Magical place!!!! The Lakehouse cottage is historic and beautiful on a lovely fishing pond. The Longhorns are around the house to greet you every morning! We even gave them names. Brought my girlfriends from Minnesota who got a taste of Texas Ranch Life! I literally could live here I love it so much!

We visited the Ranch for some much-needed 'down' time and our visit more than delivered! From the first Kawasaki Mule ride tour of the place over open pasturelands we Pennsylvania-Born-and-Raised people were in awe of the land. Our cowboy, Mike, showed us the longhorn steer, buffalo herd, numerous lakes, wild bore trap and the very old gravesite of a previous... More

We stayed for a weekend at the Creekside house with our daughter and her husband and our son. The house was just okay - - carpet in the living area was terribly stained and the furnishings very uncomfortable and worn. The couches were antique, and while they looked authentic to the house, they were in poor shape and awkward. Dining... More

Like other reviews, in the dead heat of the summer, this ranch has very little to offer. There is a fishing pond and a lifestock ranch area but not too much is accessible to visitors. On top of that, the activities that is "fee" based is very expensive, just gone through a 25% price hike after we booked it, so... More

We spent a weekend at the ranch, with all the greatest expectations, given all the positive reviews. On the first night, the upstairs toilet overflowed. The bathroom floor was not sealed, and the overflow leaked downstairs over the kitchen counters. That probably explained the strange smell that was emanating from the kitchen when we arrived. They fixed the clogged toilet... More

If you want to stay on a cattle ranch and stay in historic accommodations, then this is your place! You can do nothing or go horseback riding, shooting, or throw a tomahawk. The Creekside House is their newest acquisition and it's amazing, Built around 1855, it was relocated here and restored to its original feel. Modern conveniences have been added,... More

I stayed at the Creekside House with friends for a weekend of antique shopping at Round Top. The house is lovely with a nice, large front porch and a large back porch off the kitchen with a lower deck. The kitchen, while not a full kitchen in our opinion, was adequate for our needs. The house is beautifully decorated to... More
