Just the basic information first. Mall opens for business at 10 am on Mon - Sat and 11:00 am on Sundays. However, it opens for walking at 8 am most days and 10:00 am on Sundays. Almost none of the stores open until the mall opens....but, as a pleasant surprise, Starbucks, in the upper level food court, is open at 9:00 on most days and 10:00 am for Sundays and caters almost exclusively to walkers during those extra hours. Nice to sit and relax after the walk if you're so inclined.

Each level (if you walk the entire including the tentacles) is about 1/3 of a mile - so if you do top and bottom both about 2/3 of a mile. Exterior, which I like to do first, is about 1.2 - 1.5 miles depending on your route. If you follow the natural contours of the exterior, it's about 1.4 miles. So.....if you want to get your 5K in, do 2 laps outside, and then do the bottom level or top level inside.

Temperature inside the mall is a pretty consistent 70 degrees Fahrenheit which is just about right for walkers year round. The restrooms are on both the first and second floor are very well maintained. There are water fountains right outside the restrooms.

The mall is never very crowded before noon, so anytime from the time the doors open until noon you can keep up a good brisk pace almost entirely uninterrupted. I try to maintain a 14 - 15 minute pace inside which, admittedly is much faster than most of the walking crowd which is pretty leisurely. Outside, you can do whatever pace you want as there are rarely people on the sidewalks, and sidewalks, do, indeed, surround about 90% of the outside walk.

Other than walking, Lakeline is a nice place and has a very good foodcourt.

Lakeline Mall is a great place to walk early in the morning (before 10:30 am) before the daily shopping crowd begins to arrive in mass. We walk an average of 4.0 mi. each week day of the week, and it takes a bit longer than 1 hour to complete. Many other couples walk at that time in the early mornings too.

This mall is laid out well for easy walking paths, circular turn arounds, and stairs if desired. Cool and pleasant and in the morning it's very open and uncrowded.

This mall was exciting and fun a few years back. now with the bigger retailers leaving the mall, the mall is dead 5 out of 7 days of the week. It's really a shame that there aren't any new changes happening in this mall anymore. It would be nice to see a fresh coat of paint or something like that.

Last time I went here, it was quiet. Nobody around. It was like I had the entire place to do whatever I wanted. Lower level shopping was much better than upper.

The Lakeline Mall is an enclosed mall on the edge of Austin's border with Cedar Park. It is a two story mall that currently has Dillards, Macy's, JC Penny and Sears for major anchor stores.

I was recently at the newly renovated theaters and they are much improved. Unlike some area theaters with food & drink, the food here is closer to traditional movie snacks, but you can now buy an alcoholic beverage to bring into the movie with you. The other big change is you now purchase your (more comfortable) seats individually, not general admission seating.

All malls are still feeling the sting of internet competition, but the Lakeline mall is still a nice place to visit. They also have a nice food court.

The play area is a godsend during the hot summer. The bathrooms are nice and kept clean. Unfortunately the mall has lost some of the stores with the economy in the dumps, but it still has Sears, JC Penney, Dillards and Macy's. There's also a movie theater, Hallmark, Gap and Victoria's Secret.

Walking around the mall and asking for help with food and stores, whether it was an employee or an owner I spoke with was very nice and helpful. The people in Cedar Park are very nice and friendly.
