We love this little park. There is a river that wanders through it, there are fields for sports and trails to hike. Plus BBQ’s to grill out with. It’s not much but it is just a nice place to spend an afternoon.

We came here, and hiked up to the cross. Had some really great views from up there! Didn’t realize how decent sized it was until we saw the hiking map. Definitely have to come back!!!

Park was nice. Small river running on edge of park. Gave 4 points due to poison ivy and some trash not cleaned up.

Great place to go! Quiet and large enough for lots of space in between areas! Always love coming here!

About 20 miles west of San Antonio, this is a convenient location to stay and explore the San Antonio area and still enjoying a peaceful and less crowded area. There are 40 pull-thru sites that can accommodate any length RV, full hookups and 30/50 amp...More

We were surprised at the size of the park, and how it was laid out. Has everything you could imagine. Nice trails, river, fields, etc.... Been there each time we visit Castroville.

We hiked a few trails and went up to Cross Hill. The city pool looked great and we hung out down by the river, too.

Wonderful park with miles of trails, natural river, lovely picnic options, soccer fields and much more. The kids and I love the running track and the trails. The park is the location of the city pool (costs to enter). The park can get very crowded...More

recently ran a 5K run through this park. It's very large, open and spacious. The basketball court is dated, but overall it's nice and peaceful. Decent volleyball court

We stayed here in Feb. 2015 while visiting the San Antonio historical sites in the center city. Castroville Park was the closest (non-private) state or city RV campground we could find on the west side of San Antonio.
