Nice park for swimming

Good place for a day of swimming. They had loaner life preservers for small children--great idea! Beach was clean and well-kept.

Arrived on Sunday at 9am to find trash spilling out of every can and large commerical bin available. It was still there at 3pm when we got off the lake. Bathrooms are disgusting and smell terrible. Locals told me it is always like this. How does this place exist in America, especially in one of the richest states?

i don't go there for the beach. at the end where the drop-off is, is where you want to be. easy access to the island, good place to kayak or paddleboard and jump off bigs rocks into the water.

First time visiting Comal Park. My family celebrated my nephew's 9th birthday and we had a great time. The water was a lot cleaner than I expected. The restrooms were not so clean. My family had such a great time and I look forward to going back every summer!

Just left this little gem yesterday. $4.00 to park all day and you can come and go as you please. Doesn't open til 1:00 pm during the week. Every time I go to Canyon Lake I go to this little beach front lake. The water is clear and clean. There are dumpsters for your trash and they have new port... More

We loved this little swimming cove. It is $4 per car to get in but well worth it. Definitely bring water shoes to wear as the swimming cove is made of nothing but pebbles. We saw many people run out of there with feet in pain.

I realize the water level is down about 20 feet, but the garbage (diapers, bottles, plates) that were all around is just gross. I'd heard great things about Canyon Lake, but I saw nothing good about it.

Another good place to visit close to the water for swimming. The rocks are a little challenging to climb down to get close to the water so be careful! However...it is very fun once you get down. :)
