We were camping in Palo Duro State Park in late August. Our girls (7 & 10) wanted to horseback ride while we were there. The stables in the park seemed okay but they are already on the floor of the canyon and pretty far from any of the canyon walls with no shade in sight. We went with PDRS which... More

This family owned business is awesome. We called ahead to book a ride. We were encouraged to wear jeans and closed toed shoes for our safety. We were requested to arrive 30 minutes early. When we got there Jesse and his crew assigned us to horses and helped us get on. The hour tour led us down and around to... More

Took my three teenage granddaughters to ride horses with the Palo Duro Stables. The owners, Jesse and Kristin, rode with us and shared their family history of owning the part of the canyon where we rode on trails. The horses are well cared for and were matched up with each of us, based on our experience. It was the highlight... More

We really enjoyed getting to talk to them about Jesse's heritage in growing up there and learning about his father's business he was blessed to carry on. The scenery was beautiful and the ride was very pleasant and peaceful. You get to see a special part of the... More

I took my German friend out there riding and we absolutely loved it! Very friendly and informative staff and we both felt safe. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Amarillo/canyon to go riding!

I don't get to ride often but I've been to the Palo Duro Riding Stables many times over the years. Mr. Sorenson ran a class A operation. Jessie, his son has been running the stables for years now. Top grade herd and customer interaction. The tradition has been carried on and even better than I remembered. This is a family... More
