We were going to Scanno and we stopped in this gorgeous Location that we have found on our way. This amazing church is one of the oldest in this Italian Region(Abruzzo) If you would like to have a nice rest in a perfect location like this one, you must choose it.

It is at Casauria, just pull off the road and walk a metre or so to the abbey. One is transported to another world. A small abbey with a calm interior. There is also a museum where everything is described in both Italian and English and for this courtesy we should thank them.

I was really impressed. A warm feeling inside cold walls. Marvellous. Everything stood there. A museum free entrance to add additional information to this charming church. No painting on the walls to add charm, it didn't need it. It had more. A place to get married.

Wondering around the beautiful abbey church was a great experience. Remembering that over the years people have worshipped here. It holds a treasure .... The reliquary of Saint Clement who was one of the early apostolic fathers, Bishop of Rome AD 88-99.

Well described in both English and Italian in the museum. It can be found on the right of the front door. Make sure you walk around the outside to appreciate the gardens.
