The castle, including the garden, is a beautiful decoration of the city. But also the devil welcoming in the restaurant Peklo - Bartoňova utulna is sympathetic, even if it is folk art.

Nice exhibition of Velorex and nice tower. It is private, a little bit neglected, but charming with a nice wooden bridge. Eat in restaurant U Padouru - very good cuisine.

Wonderful fairy-tale castle, placed in an amazing part of the Czech republic, filled with history. I was impressed by the gardens and the statues of little men and women in the whole ground. It turned out they represent features of the human character, so it can take hours of fun to understand who represents which. I will go back some day to check if I can recognize them all.

Must admit I only visited from the outside because it was closed on Boxing Day but the grounds and surrounding town are a gem.
The only downside were the cheap racist posters in the otherwise fine Restaurant at Hotel U Broućka nextdoor.

The chateau is adjacent to the garden, which is new and beautiful. This is evidenced by several of my photos.

Charming, well maintained castle, where you can walk on different routes. Do not forget to buy photo allowance, as it is really worth to make some shots in chambers.

The castle is very beautiful and the original decorations are quite lovely.
The garden is the real surprise with a very nice bridge in the middle

Yes, you are on your way in or out of the country, with bigger sights in mind, but this small town and castle are worth the little digression, especially if you can eat lunch on the terrace of the castle bar and wander the charming gardens.

Nit the biggest castle/ mansion but very interesting. Internal features are slightly unusual and the more interesting for that , Great view and pretty gardens and of course it forms one corner of the charming square in the lovely town of Nove Mesto nad Metuji so it doesn't involve a trip into the middle of now where or trying to park in a busy town.
As another reviewer wrote it has a bar underneath it and a delightful terrace so on a hot day a cold Pivo is only right to ahnd. The resturant beneath the castle is highly recommended in terms of quality of produce and cooking with very professional service

The chateau has, except very unique decorations and style of rooms and hall, a small and stylish garden, tower from which you can view the neighboring villages and mountains, very good restaurant and collection of many interesting stuff (old toys, leather cars etc). They also offer weddings and accommodation.
