About
Founded on the cornerstones of family, tradition and romance, Messina Hof Winery & Resort has held its place as a Brazos Valley staple since its founding in 1977. It is the estate winery where the Messina Hof winemaking team crafts our world-class wines. Messina Hof had humble beginnings as founders, Paul Vincent and Merrill Bonarrigo ran the lab, tastings, etc right out of their living room. Our current Tasting Room, also known as the Guest Center, was the rebuilt home that wa originally the Ursuline Academy, which was an all girls school. The original brick from the home was used to build the Tasting Room that guests can still see today.

Big Facility, Lots to See, Lots to Taste!
Jun 2020
The Messina Hoff winery is a must see for visitors to the area. The winery covers a large area and hosts community activities throughout the year. They have a lovely restaurant with great food and ambiance. Their wine selections are varied. They also have grape themed kitchen items for sale and confections and novelties containing wine.

Cute but slow

Went with my sister in law. We got there pretty late in evening so we missed the view outside. It took a long time to take our order and pay at the end. I realize it is a relaxing atmosphere but at least wanted to start with a drink. We ordered some snacks (baked Brie) and they had no flavor at all. Good wine, did buy a bottle.

The wines are all great, and every time I try one that I haven’t before, it’s delicious! Stopped by yesterday, had a blast. Cheese board was so good, we took some mustard and jam home. Staff is great! We love coming here!

My favorite winery
Feb 2020
We had the wine tasting on the Wine Tasting Pass for the month of February. This was my favorite of all the wineries we sampled. The server was excellent and was very attentive. Absolutely love the Sparking Almond wine. The chocolate truffles are also excellent. Will definitely return.

Relaxing and Tasty
Jan 2020
My adult daughter and I did this tour and had such a nice time. The information was presented clearly and all questions asked. I could feel the tour guide really loved working there which added to the ambiance. The wine was very good and I know I will return again at the tasting room.

We visited Messina Hof on new years eve (afternoon) and had an incredibly wine tasting with Michael Broussard ! Highly recommend visiting the winery and having Michael guide you through the wines with endless jokes and positive vibes! He is so funny and made us feel at ease since the first sip!

Interesting and Fun

This was a nice visit to a winery to learn about some of the basics of wine making and sample some of the great in -house crafts. The tour is definitely worth the experience in my opinion and you get a souvenir wine glass in the tasting. Definitely would come back again for the experience.

Hi Adrian, The team here at Messina Hof is thrilled to hear such good feedback, and we’re proud to be one of the most educational wineries in Texas! Did you know that we have 3 other locations in Grapevine, Hill Country, and (soon to be) right outside of Houston? We invite you to explore the unique learning opportunities at each location! We're sure that you will have another incredible experience!

Good Time
Oct 2019
My sister and I went on the wine tour while she was in town visiting. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. The wines we sampled were very very good. We were in a small group with 2 other couples and the guide tour ensured he answered all the questions we had.

I liked the fact that we did not have to register in advance for the tour. Actually, we only paid for the tour once it was done! The only issue I would say is if there is anyone with a physical disability, one of their sidewalks was not handicap friendly.

would also recommend that you go during the harvest season. it will probably be more crowded and busy but I think it would be worth it!

Good Visit
Nov 2019 • Couples
A nice wayfarer the 4 of us to spend a rainy, cold, windy afternoon in Bryan/College Station on Monday, November 11,2019. We missed the tour time at 2PM. Tasting was $14 for 5 wines and glass. Most of the wines the four of us tried were decent and award winning. The dark chocolate truffle we purchased to eat with the excellent port was delicious.
There were a couple other people tasting while we were there. Our host was average.
Grounds are nice even in the rainy weather. The winery and their story is interesting.
