We have a nice station and decent tracks....Now all we need is AMTRAK service or a shuttle to Temple or Cleburne for connections (Well, good luck on that one Bucky)

Not huge but tons of fun. So much information about trains. Huge model train displays. Great displays of those who worked on the railroads. Take the time to stop by.

Nice place to visit, especially if you are a rail buff! Beautiful restoration of the station, and the Brownwood city folks there are very helpful with info about the area and the history. Great place to take a break!

Exterior of Depot and Harvey House are beautifully restored. Depot consists of restored but empty rooms used for community functions. It was locked during normal business hours, so we just looked through the windows. (We did not ask if it could be unlocked). The Harvey...More

There is extremely little to see in Brownwood, so if you do find yourselves there, you should go and see the Santa Fe Railroad Depot or you will find yourself going stir-crazy.

Hi, I'm hoping you can answer my query. I am an ex-Australian Air Force veteran and just discovered from a friend that there is an F-111 and an F-4 in a park in your town. My friend converted to the F-111 in that very aircraft in 1968 (Australia was the only country other than the US to fly the F-111). So I can add some interesting details in our RAAF F-111 page could you tell me briefly the story behind displaying the two aircraft in your town? Sincerely Trevor Millard
